00:00 Rhonda Geary, Group Operations Director, Royal Ulster Agricultural Society. You're the boss
00:09 here today, Rhonda. This is day three of the Balmoral Show. Are you pleased with it so
00:14 far, Rhonda?
00:15 Oh, we absolutely are. I mean, the weather has been much, much better than expected.
00:19 As you can see behind me, the crowds are coming in and there are thousands here today again.
00:23 I mean, the weather's even better than was forecast.
00:24 It is indeed, yes. It's been great.
00:26 So you've only had one wee spit of rain over the three and a half days so far?
00:30 Yeah, we had a wee spit last night, but nothing too much and just enough to keep the dust
00:33 down.
00:34 Okay. And how are the numbers tallying up compared to the normal hoped for, 100,000
00:38 over four days?
00:39 Well, we could certainly, if we keep getting the numbers that we had yesterday and on Wednesday,
00:44 today and tomorrow, we'll be well on our way to meeting the 100,000 target and probably
00:49 exceeding that.
00:50 Great. And Rhonda, this is day three, Friday. What are the highlights today for people to
00:55 look out for?
00:56 Well, today's dairy judging in the cattle area today. So if you're over, you can see
00:59 the dairy cattle being judged. We also, later on today in the cattle rings, we'll have a
01:04 sheepdog display, sheepdog trials display, which is very popular. We've had Clydesdale
01:09 Day over in the equine section and the finale of the international show jumping with the
01:14 big Grand Prix this afternoon for the international riders with a big prize money. So a great
01:19 fun day here at Balmoral.
01:21 And Saturday, what are going to be the highlights tomorrow?
01:24 Saturday's really the finale for all the other sections where they've all their championships
01:28 in both the cattle, sheep, pigs, and then into the main arena for our big cattle parade,
01:34 which is the finale of the cattle at the show and the champion of champions where all the
01:39 various champions come together and they're all judged against each other.
01:42 And this will include the best of the best from all the livestock categories will be
01:47 on parade tomorrow?
01:48 It will indeed. And yes, in our equine section tomorrow, it's kind of what we call pony day
01:52 because we've got all our pony classes, we have school show jumping with the amateurs
01:56 here competing as well. So it's a great day in the main arena.
