00:00 The world can be a distracting place with fewer and fewer spaces to really check out
00:05 and check in.
00:06 Those moments where I'm alone, taking care of myself, doing my makeup, or taking a bath
00:10 are so special and so needed.
00:12 It's where I get to be alone with my thoughts.
00:15 Well, not completely alone.
00:17 Because today, I'm going to let you in on all those thoughts that run through my mind
00:22 when I'm present with myself and only myself.
00:25 And well, all of you viewers.
00:34 Play Beauty came to be as of a few years ago.
00:38 Started it from scratch, from the ground up.
00:40 I really had to figure out what exactly I wanted to say.
00:43 Play actually kind of helped me figure out more about myself when I realized that I was
00:47 going to be creating something that I wanted to see or something that I would use or I
00:52 needed to fill a void in the beauty space, which is already so huge.
00:55 I wanted it to be unique and different and expressive and colorful.
01:00 I wanted something that wasn't going to break me out.
01:03 And I also wanted to become Leaping Bunny certified.
01:05 I want to test our products on animals.
01:08 I don't know why the beauty industry ever tested on animals and why something would
01:13 be so toxic that they wouldn't be able to test it on a human.
01:16 That's pretty concerning to me.
01:17 There were a lot of concerning things that I learned about companies while developing
01:22 one that I just thought, "Wait, we do this.
01:24 This is a thing."
01:25 I mean, I guess in the last couple of years, we all haven't really been wearing a lot of
01:31 makeup since we've been at home or we've been underneath masks.
01:33 So I think we've all been thinking about skin care a lot more.
01:36 And I really figured out that I need to change my diet and I need to change what I'm putting
01:42 into my body.
01:43 And I've been learning from facialists and from gynecologists and all kinds of things,
01:47 but when you have a breakout on your skin, it is your skin communicating to you that
01:52 there is an issue.
01:53 I break out hormonally around my chin and I figured out that I had a hormonal imbalance
01:59 and I needed to start taking different supplements to do that.
02:02 And I know that we all have different things that our body's trying to tell us, but if
02:05 I could say anything just from what I've learned, I would say, just listen to that.
02:12 I didn't know that a Brazilian butt lift is what a butt whatever was called.
02:18 But what I think about is the healing process because where do you sit?
02:23 How do you relax?
02:24 How do you take the load off?
02:25 I give women so much credit that get anything done because I'm like, that seems like the
02:33 recovery process would just be horrible.
02:35 And then I've seen videos, which I don't even want to see, but it's breaking down when celebrities
02:40 have disappeared.
02:42 So when they would have gotten what work done or what would have happened.
02:45 And I just find that fact that people break that down and take the time is just, it's
02:50 insane to me.
02:51 People are detectives on everything.
02:54 I always forget like what the hell this looks like when I'm doing it when I'm alone.
02:59 And then when people are watching, okay.
03:04 I get a lot of brow tips from different makeup artists.
03:06 Like I just love hearing what they have to say about brows.
03:11 And a lot of them recently have just told me not to touch them.
03:13 And I feel like those are people's biggest regrets is just going too far into the, the
03:21 brow waxing.
03:26 I'm like, I'm not a morning person and I'm not a night person.
03:28 So I guess I'm like a midday person, which nobody really talks about.
03:31 I am more of a morning person though.
03:33 I just pass out at night.
03:34 Like I turn on a show and I'm just asleep.
03:38 The second my head hits the pillow, I'm asleep.
03:43 World life.
03:44 I'm watching that show on HBO and Nine Perfect Strangers.
03:48 Each character is just so distinct and hilarious.
03:51 And I think every actor brings something so different and is just so talented.
03:55 My mom's a huge Real Housewives fan.
03:59 I would just watch a lot of Andy Cohen.
04:00 Like I think Watch What Happens Live is one of the most honest talk shows that not a lot
04:04 of people talk about, but I love Andy Cohen plays this game, Plead the Fifth.
04:08 And he asks like the hardest hitting questions as far as someone's personal life that I would
04:13 never have the balls to ask.
04:15 And then he also just has everyone drinking.
04:17 And it's really funny to watch.
04:18 Like some people don't really want to drink.
04:19 And then some celebrities are just like taking shots.
04:22 And then by the end of the interview, they're feeling the alcohol and they're just opening
04:25 up even more and just being so truly themselves.
04:28 And I feel like Andy has this way of just making people be super honest with him.
04:32 Like he just, I think a lot of people know him and are friends with him.
04:36 So I like that show.
04:38 And then I would watch the UK Love Island.
04:42 But I had to stop because I really got addicted to that show.
04:49 The Cobra Kai set vibe is one of the most fun sets I've ever been on.
04:54 And I've definitely lied before in interviews and said, oh yeah, we're like a family.
04:59 And then I've kind of regretted it because we're not.
05:02 And I think a lot of people say that.
05:03 But this show, we're genuinely like family and we all really are best friends.
05:08 And like even Ralph Macchio had his 60th birthday this season and he made sure that
05:13 each and every one of us from the cast could be there.
05:16 And we were there with his kids and his wife.
05:18 And it was just such a special time.
05:21 No one really expected the show to be what it is now since going to Netflix.
05:25 And the way fans have received the show has been so mind blowing.
05:29 And Cobra Kai went to Netflix over COVID.
05:32 So we were just in quarantine like everyone else.
05:34 And then all of a sudden the show is number one.
05:37 It was just a wild experience.
05:40 [MUSIC]
05:43 Yeah, unfortunately when doing that much karate or doing that many stun scenes,
05:48 like something is just bound to happen.
05:51 And nothing really huge has happened, but my hand definitely has slipped and
05:57 has accidentally hit Mary during the show.
06:00 And she's so kind about it because obviously it's not intentional and
06:06 things just happen.
06:07 Luckily we have to have fake bruises and fake blood and fake makeup.
06:12 So if we do get hit, we just kind of go along with it and make up.
06:15 And then we just make it a little darker.
06:17 And then if we have to match it the next week we do with makeup.
06:20 [MUSIC]
06:23 I've actually never told anyone this before.
06:26 And I'm glad that you guys are accepting it because, yeah,
06:28 I do wake up in the mornings.
06:31 And I like to be alone because I like to have dance parties.
06:33 And I like to do some cardio, 80s type aerobics, dancing alone.
06:39 And I'll put on any song and then just be like, all right, for
06:43 this amount of time you can't go on your phone.
06:45 For these next three songs you have to completely just dance your heart out and
06:50 skip or whatever the music makes you feel.
06:53 And sometimes I'll end up rolling on the floor or just twirling around.
06:58 My dog gets really excited, so I feel like he's my hype man.
07:01 One of the most therapeutic things for me has been screaming.
07:04 And so as loud as I can, but I feel like where I live people will be really
07:08 concerned.
07:09 So that's a way I also get energy out is just by,
07:13 it's so therapeutic to just scream bloody murder.
07:17 Especially with where the world is at right now.
07:18 And sometimes you feel so hopeless, there's nothing you can do.
07:21 And I mean, you can do what you can and then you can also scream.
07:25 [MUSIC]
07:28 I just want it a little brighter than I want.
07:30 It's just a lot with the purple eye.
07:34 So you know what, let's just add this glitter lip gloss.
07:36 Let's see what happens.
07:37 All right, this is my look.
07:39 This was my everyday makeup look that got really carried away while I was talking to
07:44 you guys.
