00:20 across the Gaza Strip in the past day, the military says, as ground forces operate in

00:25 Rafah, Jabalia and the Netzarim corridor. However, according to the IDF, the target

00:32 also included weapon depots, infrastructure and buildings belonging to the terror group

00:36 as well as the operatives. And so, in one of the air strikes in Rafah, it hit a senior

00:42 Palestinian Islamic Jihad operative, who the IDF says was the head of the logistics for

00:47 the terror group in the city of southern Gaza. As part of his role, he was responsible for

00:53 preparing the enemy for the IDF manoeuvre in Rafah, the military stated.

00:57 However, no visual regarding the attack or the name of the deceased Hamas terrorist has

01:04 been declared. In eastern Rafah, the military says, the troops of the Givati Brigade spotted

01:09 and killed an RPG-wielding operative in a building near them. Givati troops raided several

01:14 sites in area locating weapons, the IDF added. Also, the Ego Commander Unit located a rocket

01:22 launcher at a building used by the terror group, the IDF confirmed.

01:25 Meanwhile, in Jabalia, the 7th Armoured Brigade found a primed rocket launcher and killed

01:30 several more gunmen in battle. The 460th Armoured Brigade discovered several tunnel shafts and

01:37 killed an RPG-wielding operative. And the Paratroopers Brigade killed several gunmen

01:42 during multiple engagements in Jabalia in the northern part of the Strip, according

01:46 to the IDF. This all development comes as a major breakthrough

01:51 for Israel which started storming into Rafah last week.

01:54 Israeli military stated that it had urged the residents of Rafah to evacuate immediately

01:59 in time for limited scope operation. However, it gave no specific reason nor did it say

02:04 if offensive action might follow. However, later on, tanks were reported to be inside

02:09 deep into the Rafah Strip, destroying the operatives.

02:14 As for Israel, victory is impossible without taking Rafah. For almost months, Israel has

02:19 been pitching that it wants to invade Rafah and it will. However, the pressure from allies

02:24 including the United States had made it hard for Israel to consider any sort of action.

02:29 But now, Israel entered Rafah and apparently the warnings of the Biden administration also

02:35 failed. The prospect of a high-casualty operation worries

02:38 Western power and neighbouring Egypt, which is trying to mediate a new round of true-stalk

02:43 between Israel and Hamas under which the Palestinian Islamist group might flee some hostages. However,

02:50 now to make the situation worse for the hostage deal, Israel has confirmed killing off a top

02:54 commander of the Islamic Jihad group, which can surely exacerbate the tensions between

02:59 the two at Guarulhos.
