00:00 Hiya, I'm Catherine from Sussex World. I'm here with Michaela Sargent. I'm having a colour analysis session today.
00:07 She's teaching me all about the colour wheel which you can see behind me.
00:11 First up will kind of be what to work out which seasonal colour I am, so the right colour palette for my skin tone,
00:18 whether I'm a warm or cool tone, whether I'm autumn, spring, summer or winter.
00:23 I'm really interested to see how that then impacts the decisions I make on what clothes I buy.
00:29 And how it's going to help me look my best, which is going to be great. I'm really excited.
00:33 Hi, my name is Michaela. I am a colour and image consultant based in Horsham, West Sussex.
00:40 Colour analysis is a process where we discover your best optimum seasonal palette.
00:46 It's spring, summer, autumn or winter and it's all to do with the way that our melanin
00:52 is formed and the way that this radiates through.
00:55 Ultimately meaning that you will either have a more blue undertone or more yellow undertone.
01:00 And what happens at colour analysis is we use some drapes, which you can see here on the stand.
01:06 We use a selection of drapes to identify firstly whether you are warm or cool.
01:13 So whether you are in the top half of the wheel either being an autumn or a spring or
01:17 in the bottom half being either a winter or a summer.
01:20 And then the second part of the draping is figuring out what season you are.
01:25 Each season has its different features and characteristics, which we talk about a lot during the session
01:31 so that you leave with a knowledge of how you then can apply your season, your season colours
01:37 to your shopping and your wardrobe and how you then go about applying that knowledge.
