00:12The infant died when it was only a few days old, and Natalia has since clung to the lifeless

00:27While it is known that chimpanzees, like humans, mourn the loss of loved ones, the duration

00:33and intensity of Natalia's mourning is unusual.

00:36Nevertheless, Cazares said it must be respected, just as in humans.

00:57This is not the first loss for Natalia.

00:59She also lost an offspring in 2018, prompting the zoo to closely monitor her well-being
