00:00 Open water swimming is making a return to Bristol's Floating Harbour next month.
00:06 Swims will return on Saturday June 15th and take place every Saturday and Sunday morning
00:11 between 8am and 10am.
00:14 The swims are organised by Bristol charity All Aboard Water Sports, which has signed
00:19 a new contract with Bristol City Council to deliver open water swimming in Bristol's
00:24 Floating Harbour.
00:26 Any surplus income will be used to help fund the charity's aim of breaking down barriers
00:31 and making it possible for everyone in our community to participate in water sports.
00:36 Similar to last year's swims, the designated course will start at Baltic Wharf, just off
00:42 Cumberland Road, near All Aboard Centre.
00:45 The water quality will be tested weekly to make sure it meets bathing water standards.
00:52 Last year saw over 650 swimmers take a dip in the Bristol harbourside and this year is
00:57 due to be even more.
