00:12 who will lead the country and be a part of the government's "Build Better More" program.
00:19 Alan Francisco will tell you in detail.
00:22 The Philippines is a center for the development and advancement of businesses.
00:29 This is what President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said in the Indo-Pacific Business Forum in Taguig City.
00:35 That's why he encouraged foreign investors to lead the country,
00:39 particularly in being a part of the "Build Better More" program of the government.
00:43 More than 180 infrastructure priority projects are of value,
00:48 almost P10 trillion, are being targeted by the government.
00:52 With the public-private partnership code,
00:55 we have accelerated the delivery of critical projects.
00:59 Fostering economic growth and enhancing the quality of life for all Filipinos.
01:05 This landmark legislation makes collaboration between the government
01:09 and the private sector even more efficient.
01:12 The Philippines is also pushing to be a leader in talking about smart
01:16 and sustainable transportation in the Indo-Pacific region.
01:19 The President also mentioned the establishment of a major investment fund
01:24 that will make the country's commitment a good investment place.
01:28 As the Philippines occupies a strategic position in the Indo-Pacific,
01:32 we are leveraging our strategic geopolitical location,
01:36 economic engagements, and participation in regional agreements.
01:41 With this region accounting for over one-third of global economic activity,
01:46 this presents immense opportunities for our nation.
01:50 We are proud to be a major contributor,
01:55 with our GDP ranking amongst the fastest growing in the region,
01:59 coupled with our burgeoning population and significant trading outputs.
02:04 I am proud to share that our economic achievements have been outstanding.
02:09 Some of the Philippines' push for strategic partnerships is the Free Trade Agreement.
02:15 These agreements underscore our commitment to fostering economic growth
02:20 and international cooperation.
02:23 With RCEP, investors can access other markets from RCEP countries
02:28 by manufacturing and exporting their products from the Philippines.
02:32 There are also other game-changing reforms in the law
02:36 that can help support foreign investment.
02:39 Through these reforms, we assure you that the Philippine government is fully committed
02:45 to supporting and facilitating your business endeavors in our country.
02:50 We extend our hand in partnership and stand ready to provide any assistance
02:55 that you may require as you navigate the business landscape of the Philippines.
02:59 Meanwhile, the President also mentioned the implementation of the Luzon Economic Corridor,
03:04 strengthening the renewable energy sector, and the continuous digitalization initiatives.

03:13 to support sustainable business.

03:19 and Economic Affairs, Frederick Goh.
03:21 The Philippines' leadership as one of the fastest-growing economies in the Indo-Pacific region
03:26 happened under the leadership of President Marcos.
03:30 It definitely links into the Marcos administration's efforts
03:33 to create an enabling environment of infrastructure for businesses to thrive.
03:40 We're doing everything that's needed to make the conditions
03:47 attractive to foreign investment.
