00:42 The Concept CLA Class family will consist of four models.
00:47 A four-door coupe, a shooting brake and two SUVs.
00:52 As you saw in the video, this platform offers an exceptional consumption of around 12 kWh per 100 km.
01:01 This gives a WLTP range of more than 750 km.
01:07 And that's more than enough to drive from here to Zhengzhou on a single charge.
01:13 Not only that, its 800 V architecture enables high-power 300 kW+ DC charging.
01:21 It also provides up to 400 km of range in just 15 minutes.
01:27 It also offers bidirectional charging.
01:31 When connected to a compatible DC charging station, it could store solar power for later use.
01:38 More importantly, it can also serve as an electricity hub.
01:43 Either vehicle to home or vehicle to grid.
01:47 If you look inside the car, you will see illuminated high-performance water-cooled chip.
01:54 It represents our in-house Mercedes-Benz operating system MBOS,
02:00 which has four domains.
02:02 Infotainment, driving and charging, body and comfort and automated driving.
02:09 Our R&D team here in China has been involved in development since the start.
02:16 And it's the primary enabler of the hyper-personalized user experience I was talking about earlier.
02:23 Providing our Chinese customers with an intuitive, intelligent digital experience.
02:29 The MMA model family will be the first to run entirely on MBOS.
02:37 And especially for AutoChina, we have demos of some great new features and functions in the seat box here at the booth.
02:47 One of them is our new MBUX virtual assistant.
02:51 Powered by a generative AI and stunning 3D graphics, it offers human-like interaction.
02:58 Especially here in China, natural conversation is a crucial part of the user experience.
03:05 The MBUX virtual assistant can speak directly with Chinese customers like a real person.
03:12 AI brings an extra sense of emotion.
03:16 This is the next big milestone.
03:19 For our customers here in China, they already benefit from advanced level navigation with cutting-edge 3D graphics.
03:32 And soon, our route guidance will become even more immersive with our new exploration modes.
03:39 Thanks to our AI engine, the system can recommend points of interest based on our habits.
03:47 So when our customers travel to new cities, for instance, it can use their past behavior to suggest landmarks, restaurants and other places of interest.
03:58 So now, let's look at the automated driving domain.
04:02 Here, our comfort and safety systems are state of the art.
04:07 We already have more than 40 driving assistance functions.
04:11 And a crucial one is the so-called Level 2+ automatic lane change.
04:16 If a slower vehicle is driving ahead, our Mercedes can automatically initiate a lane change.
04:23 This feature maneuvers the car like an experienced driver and is already available in China.
04:30 This is a great new offering for an end-to-end driving experience on highways with many tailor-made features for our Chinese customers.
04:40 Later this year, the system will be extended to support ramp-to-ramp driving on highways.
04:47 Our MMA vehicles will be equipped with a comprehensive sensor set that feeds our neural network, which enables continuous learning capabilities.
04:58 This will result in a steady stream of new functions, provided over the air, of course.
05:05 One example will be our point-to-point urban navigation feature.
05:10 The system can handle challenging urban driving scenarios and supports a fast city rollout to its mapless nature.
05:20 When we have DrivePilot, this is the world's first officially certified SAE Level 3 system for conditionally automated driving.
05:30 It is available in the EQS sedan and the S-Class in Germany and in the US.
05:37 And we are already getting great feedback from our customers.
05:41 DrivePilot operates under certain conditions on highways.
05:46 For Germany, we are working on the next version with an increased speed over 90 km/h.
05:54 And we want this to be ready by the end of 2024.
05:59 Here in China, Mercedes-Benz is one of the first OEMs to obtain approval for the Conditionally Automated Driving Road Test License right here in Beijing.
06:11 MBUS also features a connectivity module that communicates with the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud.
06:19 And one of the main functions is over-the-air updates.
06:23 This will allow the hyper-personalized Mercedes-Benz of the future to keep growing and adapting to customer needs and wishes.
