A look at Wolves as their season has endured moments of brilliance with the back end of their season slightly lacking in squad depth. Some fantastic scenes and memories to look back on as they hope for Gary O’Neil to continue to build for the future at the club.

00:00 Charlie, looking at Wolves now, obviously a strange season at moments. It was magnificent.
00:07 They had that run in late December where they were the most informed team in the league.
00:10 It was quite fantastic at times and Gary O'Neill has done a fantastic job overall. Obviously,
00:16 it's sort of petered out near the end of this season with injuries and, you know, lack of
00:21 spending in January sort of played a bit of a part as well. And then you had the possibility
00:26 of an FA Cup semi-final which was snatched away. Looking back at their season, has there
00:31 been many standout moments for you? At the end of the day, it's been another season in
00:36 the Premier League, another season with some good results and they can certainly build
00:41 on it next season.
00:42 I think there's been a few standout moments, yeah. That December, as you mentioned, was
00:47 such a fantastic time for Wolves and the belief really there to get into the top half and
00:52 somewhere that fans wouldn't have expected, especially of rival clubs, they were putting
00:56 Wolves down as relegation candidates at the start of the season. So to see them beating
00:59 the big dogs in the top six and getting into that top half contention was very impressive.
01:04 And then there was even talk at one point, could they get into European places? Well,
01:07 obviously the injuries, the lack of squad depth stopped them from being able to do that,
01:11 but they're not far away. Had it not been for many VAR calls throughout the season going
01:16 against Wolves, who knows what could have happened? But for me, I think beating West
01:21 Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup was just a huge, huge day. A way at the Hawthorns as well,
01:26 2-0, quite a comfortable win. The scoreline might not suggest it was that comfortable,
01:30 only two goal win, but anything can happen in these big derby games and especially in
01:35 the black country derby. You saw how much it meant to fans. There was a stoppage at
01:39 the end, fans getting in a brawl in one of the far corners. It meant so, so much to both
01:43 football clubs. So for Wolves to get on top in that one was so important. And I think
01:48 as well that the double over Tottenham Hotspur, winning away at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
01:52 is no easy feat. And then of course, doing it at home as well in such style, such a fantastic
01:59 day that was. I mean, in the press box, I already had my report wrapped up and ready
02:03 to publish with a 1-0 win. To go and win, I couldn't believe it. They scrapped up my
02:08 report, but I didn't care. What a moment that was for Wolves and the togetherness of the
02:12 football club that day, the atmosphere at Molineux. What a moment.
02:15 I think you've really hit the nail on the head there. As a Wolves fan and seeing the
02:21 pressure of getting drawn away to West Bromwich Albion, the FA Cup is a competition that has
02:26 lost some fans over the last few years. It's something that we saw Newcastle draw Sunderland,
02:33 we saw West Brom draw Wolves. These ties really bring fans back together and back towards
02:40 the fantastic competition, in my opinion, is the best competition in all of sport. I
02:44 think so. It's not been the most pretty season at the back end, finishing near the bottom
02:50 of the middle table sort of thing. But yes, certainly stuff to work on as long as they
02:56 keep Gary O'Neill in the summer.
