00:10 it's no wonder that there are some moments where Peter falls flat on his face.

00:18 and here are the 8 most embarrassing Spider-Man moments.
00:22 Number 8.
00:23 The Spider-Mobile.
00:25 Amazing Spider-Man #130.
00:27 When Marvel Editorial signed a toy deal for a Spider-Man themed vehicle,
00:31 the writer at the time, Jerry Conway,
00:34 was all but forced at gunpoint to find a way to incorporate it into the comic itself.
00:39 Thus, the Spider-Mobile was born.
00:41 This thing had to be one of the most infamously goofy parts of the Conway era.
00:45 Looking back, the funny thing about this book
00:48 is how so much of it is about how this is an obviously terrible idea
00:52 that was doomed to fail.
00:54 I mean, why would Spider-Man need a car?
00:56 Just imagine this.
00:58 "Quick, Spidey, Hammerhead has 10 hostages at gunpoint
01:01 and is going to start executing them, so please help us."
01:04 "Oh, but you're stuck in traffic again?
01:06 Welp, I guess we'll just die."
01:08 It's so absurd, yet so hilarious at the same time.
01:11 The Spider-Mobile would quickly exit the story,
01:14 as Conway had basically nothing but absolute contempt for the idea.
01:18 And frankly, who could blame him?
01:20 Number 7.
01:22 Trying to beat up Superman.
01:24 Superman meets the Amazing Spider-Man.
01:26 Back when Marvel and DC's rivalry was friendlier,
01:29 they decided to make a big crossover between their most iconic characters.
01:33 And who wouldn't want to see the Amazing Spider-Man interact with Superman?
01:37 So, with the stars aligning like this,
01:39 it was only natural that DC and Marvel jumped on it.
01:42 And it doesn't take long for Spider-Man and Superman to come to blows.
01:46 The resulting fight is one of the best hero-versus-hero fights out there,
01:50 as Spidey is powered by red sun radiation, courtesy of Lex Luthor,
01:55 which gives him that extra edge in combat.
01:57 But, as Spidey learns, when that radiation goes away,
02:01 he's little more than a nuisance to Superman.
02:03 As short a moment as it is,
02:04 the image of Spidey just wailing uselessly at Superman's indestructible six-pack
02:09 is just plain hilarious.
02:11 Number 6.
02:12 Getting stuck in the Outer Boroughs.
02:15 Friendly neighborhood Spider-Man number 14.
02:18 As Spider-Man Homecoming so aptly demonstrated,
02:20 Peter is hilariously useless
02:23 the second you take him out of New York City.
02:25 And that joke originated in an issue of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,
02:29 where, whilst trying to catch up with the villain of the week,
02:32 Spidey finds himself stuck in the suburbs of the Outer Boroughs.
02:36 With nothing taller than a streetlight to swing from,
02:39 Spider-Man has to resort to booking it as fast as humanely possible.
02:43 No tall buildings means no web swinging,
02:46 and no web swinging means that he's just a weirdo in a red and blue onesie
02:50 running through the suburb in the middle of the night.
02:52 Spider-Man would of course manage to just barely catch up to the villain.
02:56 That put him in this predicament.
02:58 But I imagine he's also very thankful that everyone was asleep for this moment.
03:02 Number 5.
03:04 The Bombastic Bagman.
03:06 Amazing Spider-Man number 258.
03:08 It really does help to have friends when you're in a tight spot.
03:11 But Spidey should really know better than to ask Johnny Storm for help with anything.
03:15 Long story short,
03:16 Spidey lost his clothes and had to get home
03:19 without people seeing that Spider-Man is A.
03:22 The newspaper photographer Peter Parker,
03:25 and B.
03:25 Buck-ass naked.
03:26 So, in a lapse of logic so great,
03:29 all sympathy for Peter goes out the window,
03:31 he turned to his buddy,
03:33 Johnny Storm,
03:34 who offered him one of the Fantastic Four's suits
03:36 and a paper bag with some holes in it to hide his face.
03:40 So, Spidey had to swing all the way home looking like that,
03:43 most likely confusing the hell out of a lot of people before he got home.
03:48 Number 4.
03:49 Making Web Undies.
03:50 Amazing Spider-Man number 2.
03:52 One of the most controversial parts of Dan Slott's tenure
03:55 as the head writer of Spider-Man was the superior Spider-Man.
03:59 Where Spidey's body has his long-time nemesis,
04:02 Otto Octavius, in the driver's seat.
04:04 Otto, however, uses this opportunity to improve upon Spider-Man's mission as a hero.
04:09 As divisive as it was,
04:11 it actually turned out to be one of the best things Slott ever did with his run on Spider-Man.
04:16 However, of course, the status quo beckons
04:19 and Peter eventually retook control of his body.
04:21 And just to go the extra mile
04:23 and to prove that it actually was Peter Parker back in control,
04:26 he's back in the saddle for not even 5 minutes
04:29 before he gets all of his clothes zapped off
04:32 and has to web himself up some underwear.
04:34 Failing to realise until it was far, far too late
04:37 that Otto had improved his web formula to make it dissolve significantly slower than normal.
04:42 So, when he goes to reunite with the Avengers
04:45 and explain his weird behaviour the past few months,
04:48 he goes there wearing the pants he had on as Peter
04:50 because his web undies have stuck them to his body.
04:53 And to top it all off, he really has to pee.
04:56 Since Peter was a teenager for longer in the Ultimate Universe
05:05 than he was in the 616 continuity,
05:07 we get to see him trip up a whole lot more.
05:10 One of which is simultaneously one of the funniest and grossest moments in the comic.
05:15 While Peter is a teenager for the entire run,
05:17 Black Cat is a grown woman.
05:19 At first, their relationship is about the same as it is in the main universe.
05:24 But in issue 85, Black Cat is made aware of the elephant
05:28 she wasn't aware that was in the room.
05:29 She offers a kiss and for the first time,
05:32 Peter takes off his mask in front of her.
05:35 Then, Black Cat realises this whole time that she's been flirting with a teenager
05:40 and promptly pukes up her last 3-4 meals onto the floor
05:43 while Peter watches on awkwardly.
05:46 And while it isn't just Peter to blame for this,
05:48 Black Cat has to hold some responsibility here.
05:50 Because sure, Peter's suit doesn't give any obvious indicators of age.
05:54 But one would think that his voice would really give away
05:57 that he's currently going through puberty.
05:59 And really, no one walks away from this situation looking good.
06:02 With how often Spidey screws up on a regular basis,
06:11 it was inevitable that the internet would do what the internet does.
06:14 J. Jonah Jameson has dedicated his entire career to tearing down the wall crawler,
06:19 always trying to find the perfect proof that shows Spidey is a menace to society at large.
06:24 It's an obsession that's sometimes justified and sometimes just played for laughs.
06:28 But whichever interpretation of Jameson is your favourite,
06:31 this scene would likely please all of them.
06:34 Jameson has shown a new site on the internet called spiderfail.com,
06:39 which is exactly what it says on the tin.
06:41 An online greatest hits album of Spider-Man's best goofs.
06:45 From being terrorised by an old woman and her cat,
06:48 to slamming face first into buildings mid-web swing.
06:51 It's got it all.
06:52 And Jameson, naturally, reacts to this like a kid on Christmas.
06:56 After all, this is literally everything he's ever wanted.
06:59 Seeing as how this site is literally dedicated to how much of a goober Spider-Man is,
07:04 the fact that it's probably still around to this day,
07:06 means that this moment was pretty much destined to be here on this list.
07:10 And number one, he outed himself to the X-Men.
07:14 Ultimate Spider-Man number 44.
07:16 Ultimate Peter Parker is probably the biggest screw-up Spider-Man in the multiverse.
07:21 And besides making Black Cat violently question her life choices,
07:25 he also accidentally gave away his secret identity to quite a few people.
07:29 Namely, the X-Men.
07:30 Now, the X-Men are pretty nice.
07:32 Well, as nice as anyone can be in the Ultimate Universe.
07:35 So it isn't like Peter was in any danger.
07:38 But he still likes to keep his secrets close to the chest.
07:41 So when he wakes up in the X-Men's infirmary, completely naked and exposed,
07:45 he laments the fact that now an entire mansion's worth of people
07:49 know that Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker.
07:51 Only to then be told that they didn't know his name.
07:54 Just his forgettable bland face.
07:57 That would have likely faded from memory as soon as the mask went back on.
08:00 So Peter essentially outed himself to the entire X-Men for no reason.
08:06 Brilliant.
