A competition at shop: Chocolate Treasures in Heath Hayes, Cannock, where they are running a competition to invent your own chocolate bar. The winner will help make it and it will go into production at the shop and on sale to the public.

00:00Hello Chocolate Treasures. Hello. How are you doing? So we've got Dan Ball. Yeah. Boss.
00:14Something like that. And come in Willy Wonka. What's your name sir? My name's Lewis. Hello
00:20Lewis. And Dan just fill us in on some exciting events going on. So we are running a chocolate
00:28bar making competition where you will design, primary school children, design their own
00:33chocolate bar. It's going around to all the primary schools, primary school kid age children.
00:39And their job is to design the chocolate bar. And our job is to choose a winner. And then
00:43we're actually going to make it into a chocolate bar. We're going to make their dream come
00:46true. So that it will actually come to life. Yes. I mean, this is the, this is what people
00:51can kind of pick up, isn't it? From the shop and the schools and that. So they, they draw
00:54their design and that's going to have some of the, the artwork will be on the packaging.
00:59And you, you've had a few crazy ones coming in. You've had stuff with, what's the, what's
01:03some of the flavours? Popping candy, jelly beans. Then we've had different like biscuits
01:10and all sorts. So whatever it is that you think that you might like to see on the chocolate
01:14bar, just go with it. Yeah. Be as creative as you want to be. And Chocolate Treasures,
01:19how long have you been here in Cannock now? Heath Face Cannock? In this shop we've been
01:24here for over four years now. Yeah. Yeah. Fantastic looking shop. And you've actually
01:29expanded. You're now doing, well, just talk us through what you do here as a shop and
01:32what products people can get. We do the luxury Belgian chocolate, which is in the cabinet
01:37underneath me now. We do fudges, confectionery, and then we also have a dessert side, which
01:43is rolled ice cream, which we make by hand. You can actually watch the ice cream come
01:48to life in house. We do milkshakes, we do bubble teas, we do bubble waffles. What else
01:55do we do? Hot chocolates. Very, very nice hot chocolate. A new pair of, even got your
02:01own little TikTok-y thing going on. We were just chatting off camera. Yeah. You do little
02:05lives don't you? Yeah, we do. We do lives most Thursdays between 6 and 8pm, something
02:10like that. Yeah. Where we actually produce the chocolate box live. We pack it live for
02:16customers all around the country. Wicked. And you're sending boxes of chocolates off
02:21all over the place, aren't you? Yeah. Scotland, Wales, everywhere. Cool. So what's, Lewis,
02:27let's come to you. What's your kind of favourite kind of chocolate then, if you were sticking
02:31an entry in, what would be going on with your chocolate? It'd be minty. Minty, yeah. With
02:36like a matchmaker type texture. Okay, yeah. And something quite bright as well. Yeah.
02:43Got some spray on glitter we've got on. Oh wow, yeah, yeah. Glittery, minty. You love
02:48mint don't you? Yeah, yeah. And what about you Dan, what do you go for? Are you a traditional
02:53guy or? I would actually go completely out there and I would incorporate crisps into
02:57the chocolate. Oh, crazy. Chocolate and crisps work very well together. Okay. So if it were
03:01me doing it, I'd top it with some sort of crisp and do the whole sweet savoury thing.
03:06Ah, very interesting. Yeah, that's a new one on me. Well, if people want to get involved
03:10then, they can, what, Google Chocolate Treasures? Google us, or alternatively, if you go on
03:16our Facebook page, we've got, you can actually download this form. Once this form's downloaded,
03:23you can print it off, fill it in, bring it back to the shop, or if it's come from a primary
03:27school, you can take it back to the school it came from. There's about 14 different primary
03:30schools in the area involved. And then we'll close the entries on the 7th, is it? 7th of
03:38April. And then we'll announce a winner the week after. Cool. And the winner may even
03:42get the chance to come in and help create the bar. Absolutely. Fantastic stuff. Well,
