00:00 "No six, no twelve, take a dozen!"
00:02 Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for Saturday Night Live's funniest
00:07 and most entertaining music video sketches.
00:09 "Now we're gonna free, in my monkey shoes."
00:14 Number 30, "Slow."
00:16 This song pays tribute to the men who take it slow with their partners.
00:20 On this laid-back R&B track, the three singers get literal about their inability to go fast.
00:25 "I'ma lay it down right, babe, make my way from your head to your toe."
00:31 It's a hilarious riff on self-serious lyrics with a few surprises along the way.
00:35 Adam Driver's deep voice makes it sound that much better,
00:38 providing many of the video's best elements.
00:40 There are also several enjoyable moments where the gentlemen do everything at a reduced pace.
00:49 After driving under the speed limit, they finally meet up with their girlfriends.
00:53 The funny anti-climax puts one more stamp on an ingenious sketch.
00:57 "Baby, we take it slow."
01:00 Number 29, "My Girl."
01:02 In this parody of the viral Elvis tune,
01:05 Jay Pharoah's girlfriend spots him receiving a text from another woman.
01:08 "Dad says, 'Hmm.' Sis says, 'Hey.' Mom says, 'Wah.' And brother says, 'Wow.'"
01:15 He explains what all of his other family members say before setting up his partner's funny response.
01:20 This sketch includes the talents of Kerry Washington,
01:23 delivering a memorable performance for the chorus.
01:25 "What does my girl say?"
01:27 Fans of the original can appreciate the production values and the randomness of this song.
01:37 Once the tables are turned,
01:39 there are also some funny revelations about Pharoah's character and his iCloud account.
01:44 It all comes together as a catchy, entertaining, and surprising take on the viral sensation.
01:49 Number 28, "The Creep."
01:51 With a little help from director John Waters, this music video kicks off in style.
01:56 "And we got a new dance, so get up on your feet. It's real easy to do, and it's called The Creep."
02:03 It then becomes an odd and hilarious salute to creeps.
02:06 The lonely island gathers together with some wild dance moves,
02:09 scaring all kinds of people with their behavior.
02:12 "The doctor cut my head and he started freaking, 'cause I came out clean, and I came out creeping."
02:18 Their wardrobe, mustaches, and glasses only make it funnier.
02:22 Nicki Minaj also joins in with an engaging verse,
02:25 bringing her own perspective to the twisted tune.
02:27 "They disrobed, I was oogling and ogling. Little did they know that for me they were modeling."
02:34 The song itself is catchy, and it's even better with chaotic sequences showing the trio in full
02:39 creep mode. In an underrated sketch, the SNL digital short team outdoes themselves
02:44 with this beautifully strange work.
02:46 "Don't forget to smile."
02:48 Number 27. Welcome to Hell.
02:51 Teaming up with host Saoirse Ronan, the women of SNL have a special message for men.
02:55 They provide an inviting and satirical look at current events.
02:59 "Cats out of the bag. Women get harassed all the time."
03:02 "And it's like, 'Dang, is this the world now?'"
03:06 Referencing the Me Too movement, the singers bring guys up to speed about sexual harassment.
03:10 "Welcome to hell. Now we're all in here."
03:14 The serious topic ends up providing ample opportunity for both laughs and reflection.
03:19 There's also the colorful design and costumes to fill out the inventive video.
03:23 "Why didn't you say something, baby girl?"
03:26 "Well, dang, double daddy. We definitely did."
03:29 With the great visuals, the entertaining concept gives the performers a chance to speak the truth.
03:34 The final list underscores the clever writing and subversive nature of this song.
03:39 "Yeah, it ain't fair. Pull up a chair. Welcome to hell. Hey!"
03:43 Number 26 - Squid Game
03:45 If you love country music and Squid Game, we've got a music video for you.
03:49 "Yes, I'm broken. It's a damn shame. Guess I gotta play the squid game."
03:55 Pete Davidson collaborates with Rami Malek as two desperate cowboys who need money.
03:59 The best part of this sketch comes when they both join the competition,
04:02 making for an awesome surprise.
04:04 There's also an attention to detail that honors the Netflix show's general aesthetic.
04:08 "Funk bits, new friends, piggy bank up in the sky."
04:14 Parodying the Red Light, Green Light game,
04:16 this video includes hilarious references for diehard fans.
04:19 It's also fun to see both Davidson and Malek as country stars willing to risk it all.
04:23 With some funny lyrics and references, this duo gives this production memorable performances.
04:28 "That's what happens in the squid game."
04:30 Number 25 - Stuck in the House
04:34 During the first major outbreaks of COVID-19, we all needed a reason to smile.
04:39 Pete Davidson takes that relatable feeling and puts it to music.
04:42 "I miss my friends, they miss me too. Sick of watching shows and talking on Zoom."
04:47 He sings about being stuck in the house,
04:49 prompting some funny observations about living with family.
04:52 Davidson's grounded personality delivers laughs and poignant observations all in one track.
04:57 Adam Sandler also makes a welcome appearance,
05:00 giving hilarious updates about his life during the 2020 pandemic.
05:04 "I'm done with selfies so don't even ask. Staying in the house in an underwear mask."
05:09 Cameos from other people like Rob Schneider will make SNL fans even happier.
05:13 "You can do it!"
05:14 "No!"
05:14 "Sit man, come on!"
05:16 Ultimately, this catchy song nails the boredom, humor and isolation of being quarantined.
05:22 "Going crazy, and crazy, and crazy."
05:27 Number 24 - Stew
05:29 For this parody of Eminem's Stan, Pete Davidson spins the song into a Christmas anthem.
05:34 "You're Santa, I can't believe the year is almost over. It's getting colder,
05:38 I'm a year older, but I'm still your soldier."
05:40 This time around, the obsessive fan sends angry letters to Santa.
05:43 The fun twist on the hip-hop classic has hilarious lyrics,
05:47 diving into the holiday theme with reckless abandon.
05:50 "I know you probably hear this every day, but you got a cool hat. I love that movie
05:54 you did with Will Ferrell, man. Elf was fat."
05:56 Kate McKinnon and Bowen Yang also give some amazing accompaniment.
05:59 "This year Christmas will be merrier, 'cause Santa sucks at tradition."
06:05 Davidson feels like he's been preparing his whole life to spoof the rapper,
06:09 matching the look and flow of the icon.
06:11 Seeing the dark story up against the cheery sights of the North Pole also makes for a funny mix.
06:16 The real Slim Shady even shows up for a cool cameo.
06:19 "PS5? I didn't even ask for this. I guess Shady must have been a good boy this year.
06:24 Sorry, Stu. You f***ed me up."
06:26 Number 23. Jack Sparrow
06:28 The Lonely Island gets the chance to sing with Michael Bolton,
06:32 but they are not prepared for the latter's ideas.
06:34 "Boys, let's get to it."
06:36 The music video starts at a club and quickly turns into a fantasy about Jack Sparrow.
06:40 "This is the tale of Captain Jack Sparrow, a pirate so brave."
06:47 Bolton's lively performance gives this track prestige,
06:50 while never sacrificing the goofy nature of it all.
06:53 "Baby Jones, giant square."
06:55 The production goes so off the rails that the singer keeps interrupting the trio's
06:59 more traditional concept. It's all for the best, turning the guest performer into a comic hero in
07:04 the process. He also jumps in for some other movie parodies that generate even more laughs.
07:09 "Okay, turns out Michael Bolton is a major cinephile."
07:13 "You complete me."
07:14 Number 22. Threw It On The Ground
07:17 For this digital short, Andy Samberg's character has a lot of attitude.
07:21 He lets out this aggression by throwing things on the ground.
07:24 "You must think I'm a joke. I ain't gonna be part of your system."
07:30 It's an absurd concept, featuring a person that's over the top in the best possible way.
07:35 Samberg plays into the role's anger by tossing phones and even kids' birthday cakes.
07:40 "What you want me to do with this? Eat it? Happy birthday, Truth or Crap!"
07:45 Each scene gives viewers a new reason to laugh,
07:48 letting the performer cause destruction in hilarious reveals.
07:51 Ryan Reynolds and Elijah Wood also show up for a cameo that defies description.
07:56 When the two actors seek revenge, they provide an unforgettable climax to this comedic gem.
08:01 "The moral of this story is, you can't trust the system!"
08:06 Number 21. Natalie Raps
08:08 Without any notable scandals in her career, Natalie Portman seems to be a well-adjusted
08:13 person. This sketch takes that idea and jokingly throws it out the window.
08:17 "I don't sleep, mother f---er, off that yak and that turban."
08:21 The actress enters into a hardcore rap about how she's actually crazy,
08:24 showcasing some erratic behavior. This is all played for laughs,
08:28 as Portman yells, swears, and attacks people.
08:31 "Sleeping poop and porn night just down the hall!"
08:35 Her transformative performance is wonderful and ridiculous at the same time. Breaking a chair
08:40 over her interviewer's back, the performer shows that she's an underrated comedic talent.
08:45 The popular sketch even received a sequel that expanded on the glory of the original.
08:49 "No more questions."
08:50 Number 20. Crucible Cast Party featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda
08:59 After taking their bows on the final night of the school play, the cast prepares to...
09:04 "And we're gonna rip it up all night until 11.45."
09:08 There are a lot of hormones spilling everywhere, but no one really knows how to act upon their
09:13 urges. Instead, what we get is a delightful list of stereotypes that will make any theater kid
09:19 watching feel extremely seen. "Then I call my mother's dad, I tell him everything.
09:25 'Cause if we don't have our parents' wills, we don't have anything."
09:29 Everyone gets a chance to shine in this highly entertaining skit,
09:33 but Lin-Manuel Miranda rapping as experienced senior Cody Shuck is a particular highlight.
09:38 "Now I'm here to get freaky, so ladies take off your tops and come over and get a show shirt out
09:42 of this book." However, it is the spot-on references that speak to any theater kid's
09:47 soul that make this sketch so memorable. "At the Crucible Cast Party!"
09:53 Number 19. On the Couch
09:55 "She said I'm out too late. She pushed me away. There ain't nothing in the world that I can say.
10:01 So I'm sleeping on the couch tonight."
10:05 In this smooth R&B jam, three guys played by Kenan Thompson, Chris Redd, and musical guest
10:10 The Weeknd lament over the minor indiscretions that landed them in hot water with their partners.
10:16 They really do an excellent job of painting themselves as the victims,
10:19 which is why these subsequent revelations are so hilarious.
10:23 "I make dinner like lovers do. I pour her wine and I'm sleeping on the couch tonight.
10:29 She got me on her pounds tonight."
10:32 Turns out that their misdemeanors are much bigger than they initially let on.
10:36 "Cheated on me almost every day. I caught you cheating on me yesterday."
10:40 "You did."
10:42 "You even cheated on me on my couch."
10:44 "Yes."
10:45 "And that's why your ass is in the doghouse."
10:48 Kenan is a serial cheater, Chris committed financial fraud, and The Weeknd? Well,
10:53 we'll let his ex and her new husband played by Daniel Craig explain that one.
10:57 "You really gotta stop coming over here."
10:59 "What?"
11:01 "You really can't keep coming here, bud. I know you don't really have a place to stay, but we
11:04 got kids."
11:06 It's the unexpected twists that make this song so unforgettable.
11:10 18. Tiny Horse
11:12 Who knew that Timothee Chalamet would bring us the musical saga we never even knew we wanted?
11:17 "There he is, my tiny horse. And he's going away, yeah. They're taking him away from me, yeah."
11:29 This song chronicles a guy who's gutted when his family is forced to sell their farm and
11:33 he has to part ways with his animal bestie. At first, Tiny Horse doesn't want to leave,
11:38 but Chalamet has us in stitches as he yells for him to git.
11:42 "I said git! Run if you know what's good for you! Git!"
11:48 This is only paralleled by his epiphany that he's been holding Tiny Horse back.
11:52 Chalamet's dedication to this sketch is Oscar-worthy.
11:55 "No, Pa. I can't. That tiny horse weren't ever mine to begin with.
12:00 That tiny horse belongs to the world."
12:04 It's a happy ending, though, as we watch Tiny Horse gallop away on a regular-sized horse.
12:08 17. Boombox
12:11 Together with The Strokes' Julian Casablancas,
12:13 The Lonely Island offers a cautionary tale about the power of the boombox.
12:31 They take us to three relatively mundane settings,
12:34 where Andy Samberg unleashes utter chaos as he raises the boombox above his head.
12:38 This includes a totally random running gag about a boiled goose,
12:50 everyone wearing fingerless gloves, and...
12:52 As with many Lonely Island songs, you'll find yourself wondering what on earth you just watched.
13:01 While still enjoying every moment and laughing out loud.
13:04 Well, I guess that's the power of the boombox.
13:06 Just don't forget that a boombox is not a toy.
13:09 16. NFTs
13:26 Ever spent hours scrolling online in an attempt to understand NFTs?
13:31 Well, look no further, 'cause SNL has your back.
13:41 This parody of Eminem's "Without Me" sees Pete Davidson
13:44 excellently parodying the real Slim Shady to ask the question on everyone's mind.
13:49 Chris Redd responds with an admittedly entertaining verse explaining cryptocurrency.
13:54 However, if you're anything like us, you're probably left just as confused as before.
14:10 Don't worry though, because The Janitor, played by Jack Harlow,
14:13 saves the day with his verse, which is both rather catchy and genuinely informative.
14:18 Turns out this sketch isn't just funny, but it's educational too.
14:28 15. Back Home Ballers
14:31 Almost a year after their first "Home for the Holidays" music video,
14:40 the ladies of SNL were back.
14:43 This time joined by host Cameron Diaz,
14:45 they rap about being treated like royalty when they go home for the holidays.
14:49 They enjoy perks such as a fully stocked fridge,
15:01 vegging out while watching TV, and not lifting a finger.
15:05 And who can't relate to a 30-character-long Wi-Fi password?
15:09 "Getting free Wi-Fi like a dope-ass hoe, the password starts with 17-0s,
15:14 then B45LTNG, then capital X, then 333..."
15:18 However, nothing makes us laugh harder than Leslie Jones
15:22 rapping about infinite amounts of bowls.
15:24 "I'm up to my ass in bowls, bowls all type of bowls,
15:28 chips and eggs and sushi and bowls, my mama's got bowls for everything,
15:32 potpourri and nuts and everything."
15:34 This sketch only reminds us just how talented these women are.
15:38 These kinds of sketches should become an SNL holiday tradition.
15:41 "See you in a month for Christmas, we're doing this all again!"
15:45 Popular culture has introduced multiple Christmas saviors over the years.
15:54 "She doesn't know what Jen likes, and she doesn't super care,
15:58 so she goes inside her closet just to see what grabs her there."
16:04 But now, Emma Stone, Kate McKinnon, and Aidy Bryant have one more to add.
16:09 They sing this ode to more powerful Christmas savior in a vaguely 90s-esque power ballad.
16:15 "She takes the candle, dusts off the candle, then wraps it up for Jen and just says, 'Here.'"
16:24 Their commitment to the sketch is what makes it so memorable.
16:28 And their sincerity only makes it funnier, especially when Aidy delivers her warning.
16:32 "But here's a warning, when you give the candle, that is all that you need.
16:40 Don't pair it with the lotion or some lame little crepe."
16:45 Ultimately, there's nothing more amusing than the chorus of women uniting to give
16:49 thanks to the ultimate present - the gift of having a gift to give away.
16:54 "We're joined by the candle, it's the gift of having a gift to give away."
17:01 After this, you will never see the Christmas candle in the same way again.
17:06 13. Murder Show
17:08 If self-care to you means unwinding in front of the television and watching a true crime series,
17:14 this is the sketch for you.
17:16 After all, there's nothing quite like descending down the rabbit hole of shows about murder,
17:26 right? And don't forget those podcasts, either.
17:28 "As soon as I'm done, I listen to a podcast about the same guy as the show I just watched,
17:34 'cause now I'm fully down the rabbit hole."
17:37 It's all sung to a peppy tune that is guaranteed to get stuck in your head.
17:41 Perhaps you agree with Nick Jonas, though,
17:43 and think that it doesn't get much better than cult shows.
17:46 "Have you heard about cult shows, cult shows, different kinds of cult shows?
17:50 We were sex and ugly dudes in a bit of folly, but..."
17:53 Or maybe you identify more with Melissa Villaseñor, and baking shows are your jam.
17:57 "Murder shows and cult shows, and don't forget baking shows."
18:00 "What? I like baking shows."
18:03 Is it possible to be a fan of all three?
18:05 12. Bottom of Your Face, featuring Megan Thee Stallion
18:09 During the COVID-19 pandemic, no part of the anatomy was more mysterious than the part
18:24 hidden behind the mask. In this hip-hop parody, featuring musical guest Megan Thee Stallion,
18:29 three guys rap about their desire to see the bottom half of their date's face.
18:32 However, the women clap back with why going maskless is a stupid idea.
18:46 They even manage to throw in a WAP reference for good measure.
18:49 "Boys, stop. Y'all want a hot girl or not?
18:51 Want hot, they tryna catch corona for the WAP.
18:54 They got the right ones, we not no sick thots.
18:57 We can tease 'em all day, but let's give 'em what they want."
18:59 Chris Rock then enters the scene with his own hilarious take on the subject as well.
19:03 It's incredibly catchy, and kind of relatable for anyone trying to navigate
19:07 the dating world during the pandemic.
19:09 "Life's a rollercoaster. Before you go back to that place,
19:13 you gotta see bottom of your face."
19:17 Number 11. Loco, featuring Bad Bunny and Regé-Jean Page
19:22 Quarantine fatigue hit us all, but if you're single and living alone, it hit particularly hard.
19:28 Ego Nwodom arrives at the club looking hot and starts chatting up a guy,
19:32 played by host Regé-Jean Page.
19:46 That's where things take a sharp turn,
19:49 as we discover the havoc that a year in quarantine can play on the brain.
19:52 "And I'm loco, as in my brain done broco.
19:55 But hey, you either laugh or you cry like Coco.
19:58 Started poco, baking bread, Tiger King.
20:00 But a whole year on Zoom, I'm like girl from the ring."
20:02 We're then introduced to her best friend Regé,
20:05 a tenacious snake plant that urges her to keep going.
20:08 According to costume designer Jill Bream,
20:10 snake plants share humans' determination to survive under pressure.
20:14 "Tap to the brim, snake by the feel.
20:16 Mentally, mentally, mentally ill."
20:18 At least this song was so catchy it kept us company through our quarantine fatigue.
20:22 Number 10. YOLO
20:24 Back in the early 2010s, Drake released "The Motto" and suddenly everyone was saying YOLO.
20:30 But it seems like the lonely island, joined by Adam Levine and Kendrick Lamar,
20:34 interpreted the acronym a little differently than the rest of us.
20:37 "You know that we are still young, so hold on while we're gone.
20:44 We'll commit to this 'cause we're only living for the moment."
20:49 This rap is a caution about living life carefully and being hyper-aware of any potential hazards.
20:55 They even reference some real examples of newsworthy recklessness.
20:58 "Uh-huh, take no chances, just start freelancing.
21:02 Invest in your future, don't dilute your finances.
21:05 401k, k, make sure it's low risk, then get some real estate.
21:08 How much? 4.2 percent."
21:10 What's hard to believe about this 2013 song is how some of its lyrics about isolation,
21:15 quarantining, and never having too much Purell rang especially true in 2020.
21:21 "And here's another piece of advice,
21:23 stay away from kids 'cause their hair is filled with mad life.
21:26 There's no such thing as too much Purell.
21:28 This is a cautionary tale, words of George Orwell."
21:31 Ultimately, the moral of this rap is you ought to look out, or YOLO for short.
21:37 9. This is not a feminist song
21:40 "But this is pretty nuanced stuff, and putting it all in one song was tough."
21:46 Ariana Grande and the insanely talented ladies of SNL tried to address the complexity of
21:52 intersectional feminism with this incredibly catchy song.
21:56 However, when that proved to be too challenging and time-consuming, they bailed.
22:00 "We know women need an anthem, a song to call their own.
22:04 But we didn't write that anthem, we went home."
22:08 So instead, they show footage of them frolicking on the beach,
22:11 basking in lens flares, and a montage of other feminist icons.
22:15 "So instead of writing lyrics, here's us running in the sand.
22:20 And here's a bunch of lens flares and an old woman's hands."
22:25 However, contrary to the song's title, they soon realize that maybe it is a feminist song after all.
22:31 "And that's why this is not a feminist song.
22:34 We're just women singing a song.
22:37 But doesn't that make it a feminist song?
22:39 I guess this was feminist all along."
22:42 And like all good social movements, it even comes with its own hashtag.
22:46 It's witty, utterly charming, and the feminist anthem we never even knew we needed.
22:51 8. Come Back, Barack
22:53 Channeling a 90s R&B boy band, Devontré sing this tribute to former President Barack Obama.
22:59 "Every night, I turn the TV on and cry.
23:04 Well I cry, yeah I cry.
23:07 I say why, I feel like we're all gonna die.
23:11 No, no, no, no, no, no."
23:13 Although when it first aired, it was only called "Come Back,"
23:16 and they surprised us with this hilarious reveal.
23:19 "So come back Barack, we've been going on and on."
23:25 The trio fondly reminisces about the good old days
23:27 and throws out some suggestions for more suitable successors.
23:31 Heck, they'll even vote for Joe Biden in 2020.
23:34 "I vote for Joe Biden."
23:36 This wasn't the first time Chance the Rapper and Kenan Thompson
23:40 collaborated on an Obama-themed musical sketch either.
23:43 "Jingle Barack" was even nominated for an Emmy.
23:45 "It's the last Christmas with Barack still here."
23:48 However, "Come Back Barack" went viral on YouTube
23:52 and won an Emmy for Outstanding Music and Lyrics.
23:55 "Come on man, we out in the rain."
23:57 "Don't leave us here alone."
24:00 "It's definitely too cold to be playing."
24:01 "At least pick up the phone."
24:03 "I mean I know you're busy with that library and everything."
24:05 "I'm not saying I'm home."
24:07 Number 7.
24:08 "Sump'n Claws"
24:09 If you ever thought that Sanda was a little judgmental,
24:12 "Sump'n Claws" has you covered.
24:14 "Everybody's bitten my teeth.
24:16 Everybody's got flaws.
24:18 If you drink Corkscrew, Santa's bliss,
24:20 here comes Sump'n Claws."
24:22 Played by SNL treasure Kenan Thompson,
24:24 this former North Pole employee hands out envelopes of cash
24:27 to those who've made Santa's naughty list.
24:30 "But you know what I say?
24:31 Everybody's getting Sump'n."
24:34 Just don't ask him where he got the money.
24:38 The concept is hilarious,
24:40 and we couldn't imagine a better actor to pull it off either.
24:44 We love Cecily Strong and Sashir Zameda
24:46 giving it their all as his backing singers as well.
24:48 "He sees you when you're sleeping.
24:50 That's weird.
24:51 I'mma tell you what's even better.
24:53 He hits somebody with that sling.
24:54 Don't like to talk about it."
24:56 "Sump'n Claws" is such a brilliantly bizarre sketch.
24:59 And like many fans of the show,
25:01 we would love to revisit this character again.
25:04 Number 6.
25:05 "I Just Had Sex"
25:07 Yeah, sex is great and all,
25:08 but have you ever sung about doing it from the rooftops
25:11 with Grammy-nominated artist Akon?
25:13 "I just had sex, and I never felt bad.
25:19 Never felt bad, but I had sex ways all the time."
25:24 The Lonely Island guys sing about a great night of intercourse with their girlfriends,
25:28 played by Blake Lively and Jessica Alba respectively here.
25:31 We also get a cameo from former tennis pro John McEnroe.
25:35 The guys are pretty pleased with themselves,
25:37 but the ladies are not so satisfied.
25:39 "To be honest, I'm surprised she even wanted me to do it.
25:42 Does it really make sense?
25:44 But man, screw it.
25:44 I ain't one to argue with a good thing.
25:47 She could be my wife, that good.
25:48 The best 30 seconds of my life."
25:50 The song is such a banger though,
25:52 that even their dissatisfied partners can't help but join in.
25:55 It's no surprise really that the track entered multiple charts around the world,
26:06 and even went platinum in the US and Australia.
26:09 Number 5.
26:10 "Do It On My Twin Bed"
26:12 Until this number,
26:13 it was the guys who dominated the musical digital short sketches.
26:17 However, after this unforgettable music video,
26:28 all that changed.
26:30 Giving us some real pussycat doll vibes,
26:32 this sketch addresses the awkwardness of getting it on at your parents' house over the holidays.
26:37 "Let's do it in my twin bed.
26:39 Not gonna like it.
26:41 But it's the only option.
26:43 Well, we can get it poppin'."
26:45 There is a lot to enjoy about this Emmy-nominated sketch,
26:48 from its catchy tune,
26:49 hilarious and somewhat relatable lyrics,
26:52 and for some at least,
26:53 Jimmy's rap.
26:54 "Girl, you know I love you, but let's be clear,
26:56 I'm having lots of trouble getting horny here.
26:58 I wanna get down and do my thing,
26:59 but your childhood bed has the antiques crazy."
27:02 However, the throwback photos of the cast are an absolute highlight.
27:06 This is one of our favorite holiday-themed musical sketches,
27:09 and we can't wait until next Christmas to watch it again.
27:32 This satirical 90s hip-hop style music video takes aim at the boomer generation,
27:36 who were at the head of the queue to receive COVID-19 vaccinations.
27:40 The song mocks how many of the same people who downplayed the severity of the virus,
27:54 ended up being the first to get immunized.
27:56 "No rumors got the vax, no rumors just facts, yeah.
28:02 Give it up if you're 70 plus,
28:04 everyone else getting jealous of us."
28:06 It also underlines the other advantages that boomers have enjoyed over the decades.
28:10 Each moment of this sketch is pure genius,
28:13 and everyone's performance is sensational.
28:16 "Ow! COVID can't touch me now,
28:18 low mask and a sore nose poking out.
28:20 When it's time to pay, I whip the coupons out,
28:23 even though I got this Emmy in the bank account."
28:25 We guess there may be some begrudging millennials in SNL's writers room.
28:29 Well, it gave us this sketch, which is comedy gold.
28:32 Writers Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Tukoni were struggling to get their sketches to air.
28:50 However, after Lazy Sunday, everything changed.
28:54 "Let's hit up Magnolia and back on some cupcakes.
28:56 No doubt that bakery's got all about Bob Foster.
28:59 I love those cupcakes, like McAdams loves Gosling."
29:02 This hardcore rap, performed by Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell,
29:06 chronicles some pretty mundane activities,
29:08 like hitting up Magnolia Bakery,
29:11 and buying snacks to sneak into a matinee viewing of
29:13 The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.
29:16 "This the chronic locals of Narnia.
29:18 This the chronic locals of Narnia."
29:21 Not only did it put Lonely Island on the map,
29:24 it also brought attention to a little-known site called YouTube,
29:27 hitting 2 million views in just one week.
29:30 It became one of the first viral videos on the platform.
29:33 Who knew that a song about a lazy Sunday would be totally groundbreaking?
29:50 Arguably, this seductive 90s R&B style holiday tune
29:54 is the most famous and successful SNL musical digital short.
29:57 "All you know is Christmas, and my heart is open wide.
30:02 Open wide.
30:03 Gonna give you something so you know what's on my mind."
30:07 Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg sing about their wildly inappropriate
30:11 Christmas gifts to their girlfriends.
30:13 "A gift real special, it's a day of the town.
30:18 Take a look inside, it's my d*** in a box."
30:22 Although it initially aired uncensored,
30:24 it was later replaced with a censored version that was bleeped over 16 times.
30:29 By 2011, they completed the trilogy with follow-up songs
30:33 "Mother Lover" and "Three Way the Golden Rule."
30:35 However, nothing has seen quite the same level of success as the original.
30:44 Not only did it become a viral hit,
30:47 it also won the Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.

31:18 In a parody of cliches often seen in rap videos, Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and T-Pain aggressively
31:34 rap about being on a boat. Samberg won the boat trip for three in a cereal box,
31:39 sadly leaving the Lonely Island's Yorma Tocconi out of the fun.
31:42 "I got my swim trunks and my flippin' floppies, I'm flippin' burgers, you at Kingo's straight,
31:48 flippin' cabbage."
31:49 On the boat, however, we enjoy tropes like lavish luxury,
31:52 constant drinking, and excessive use of expletives.
31:55 It's no wonder T-Pain was so confused by the premise when he was first approached.
31:59 "Hey, bye if you can see me now, arms spread wide on the shopper bow,
32:05 gonna fly this boat to the moon somehow, like Kevin Garnett, anything is possible."
32:11 Still, the video peaked at number one on the US iTunes chart,
32:16 was nominated for a Grammy, and also went platinum.
32:19 In February 2009, it was even the number one video on YouTube.
