Kauna-unahang mobile e-learning hub, inilunsad ng AFP sa Cebu

Transcript
00:00 The first Mobile E-Learning Hub was formally launched in Cebu
00:04 a project of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
00:07 Its target is to bring quality education to places that are hard to reach.
00:12 This is Jesse Atienza of PTV Cebu.
00:16 These soldiers are not carrying weapons, tanks or bullets.
00:23 They are carrying computers for our countrymen through the Mobile E-Learning Hub.
00:30 This is a project of the Armed Forces of the Philippines
00:34 that aims to bring quality and free education to our countrymen in remote and remote places.
00:42 To improve the situation of our people, especially what we call empowering the community.
00:48 The least that we can do, which is our mandate, is to secure the communities.
00:53 Again, it's a threat, but we're already stopping there.
00:56 What's next? That's the next question.
00:59 So I said, why not we have to collaborate with other agencies
01:05 to have a more holistic approach to what we're doing.
01:08 The Information and Communications Technology Department, or DICT,
01:14 provided 10 laptops.
01:16 The Department of Education, TESDA and the Department of Science and Technology
01:21 provided modules for learners.
01:25 There are many areas here that are not easy to reach.
01:31 And these people in the far-flung communities,
01:33 as much as they wanted to avail these courses that I mentioned,
01:38 for them to have a better job or opportunities,
01:41 they didn't get it.
01:43 The only benefit is that it's here in the cities.
01:46 Residents of Barangay Kabankalan in Lungson, Mandawi are very happy
01:51 because they were chosen to do the pilot testing of the program.
01:55 This is a pilot testing.
01:56 So many can take advantage and privilege
02:01 that they're not from here in Kabankalan,
02:03 to try in the e-learning hub.
02:06 A lot of people can take advantage of this
02:09 because we're really privileged to have this in our barangay.
02:12 The pilot testing of the program will run for three months
02:15 to find out what needs to be fixed
02:17 before it's sent to a faraway place
02:20 and what our countrymen can use
02:22 who need help in free and quality education.
02:26 From PTV Sabu, Jesse Atienza for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
