00:00Oh wait, let me get a picture.
00:02Oh, look at his face. He's trying to figure out if he's in a simulation still.
00:05Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the best celebrity guest roles for the animated sci-fi show Rick and Morty.
00:12Okay, good luck with that!
00:14We'll explore who the characters are and the famous voices behind them that you might not have realized were portraying them.
00:21Number 30, Hugh Jackman as Hugh Jackman.
00:24For a season premiere episode, shows have to go all out to entice their rabid fan bases.
00:29In Rick and Morty's case, they needed it to be especially successful after the Justin Roiland scandal and his firing.
00:35So, in stepped Jackman to play a fictional, chaotic version of himself.
00:40I'm not assuming you guys want to party with me tonight, but if you do...
00:43I want to party with you!
00:44If you do, you do it together as a team.
00:48He joined Rick and his chums in a night of debauchery,
00:50complete with Wolverine vest attire and whipping out musical numbers to serenade Mr. Poopybutthole's estranged wife, Amy.
00:57Jackman wasn't the only X-Men actor to pop up in season 7,
01:00and it just happened to be Logan's fierce rival.
01:03In Fear No Mort, the role of the fear-hole demon that trapped Rick and Morty was played by Sabretooth performer Liev Schreiber.
01:10I'm a connoisseur of fear.
01:12I'm also originally from Earth.
01:14And did you know Earth is the home of the single scariest place in the galaxy?
01:18Number 29, Kurtwood Smith as General Nathan.
01:22Since his days in 1987's RoboCop, Smith has always played a good baddie.
01:27Sometimes he does it with a softer edge, like Red Foreman in That's 70's Show.
01:31Since he's iconic in such a fiendish role, Rick and Morty signed him up to be the trigger-happy General Nathan for Get Schwifty.
01:37Have you tried sending in launch codes, Mr. President?
01:41What America's got is 70,000 megatons of kaboom-boom.
01:45And I say we show it right up this floating head's ass.
01:48No!
01:48The army top dog has no respect for Rick or his song in pleasing the invading, music-loving Cromulons.
01:55So much so that Nathan fires nuclear weapons at the big-headed aliens after knocking out President Andre Curtis.
02:01When that doesn't work and the Earth is later saved, he still attempts a coup.
02:05Only for Rick to step in and save the Commander-in-Chief with a zap.
02:13Why didn't he turn into a snake?
02:14Trade secret, Mr. President.
02:16Particle beam in a wristwatch, snake holster on the leg.
02:19Number 28, Aaron Hansen as cyborg photographers and three-eyed prisoner.
02:24I am a cyborg photographer.
02:25Just act natural.
02:27This is a candid shot.
02:28On top of being a prolific voice artist, an actor, an animator, and a musician,
02:33Hansen, also known as Egoraptor, is one half of the YouTube duo Game Grumps with Dan Avedon.
02:39And welcome to the 10-minute power hour.
02:41My name is Dan.
02:43My name is Dan.
02:44And this is Aaron.
02:44When he was signed up to cameo in The Wedding Squanchers, you might know of his character.
02:49But what if we told you there were three?
02:51Firstly, Hansen played the amazing role of the cyborg photographer who went around Birdperson and Tammy's wedding,
02:57kindly and creepily informing everyone he was taking their photos.
03:01After Rick hands himself into the Galactic Federation, Hansen plays another cyborg photographer snapping mugshots.
03:07Sorry, I am not staring at you.
03:09I am taking your mugshot.
03:11Finally, when Rick is locked up, the prisoner next to him who asks what Sanchez is in for is also the YouTuber.
03:18Eh, what are you in for?
03:20Everything.
03:23Number 27, Logic as Logic.
03:26What better way than escaping a Saw-esque collection of traps, offing beloved superheroes,
03:31and turning the survivor into a massive villain than a concert to wash away the trauma?
03:35Look at that.
03:36Jeez, I must have planned a whole party, invited a bunch of people.
03:39Not bad, drunk Rick, not bad.
03:41Well, that's what happened during Vindicators 3, the return of World Ender.
03:45With Rick and Morty about to be slain by Supernova,
03:48the elevator takes them to the shindig headlined by actual Logic,
03:51who performs a Vindicator-related rap.
03:54To top it off, he dedicates a portion of the song to everyone's favorite character Noob Noob.
03:58Can't forget about the one who never seems to get a chance.
04:01No, no.
04:01All the bitches come around for.
04:03No, no.
04:04To carry on this cameo, Logic teamed up with the animated show when he released a promo for his mixtape,
04:09Bobby Tarantino 2, by having Rick and Morty riff in the spaceship about the rapper.
04:14Number 26, Jennifer Coolidge as Daphne.
04:17In recent years, Coolidge has received the accolades she rightfully deserves
04:22after an acclaimed performance in Shotgun Wedding,
04:24and getting Emmys and a Golden Globe for The White Lotus.
04:27I'm in desperate need of a massage.
04:29Is that possible? Is there anything available?
04:32I mean, I just, I'd take anything right now because I have a herniated disc and I just...
04:36Belinda behind you.
04:38Belinda behind me.
04:40But before she was thrown into the stratosphere of beloved icons,
04:43Coolidge lent her voice to the last surviving Morglutzians, Daphne.
04:47With Rick and Summer embarking on a pub crawl across doomed planets in a Rick-convenient mort,
04:52the elder Sanchez hooks up with Daphne from her dulcet tone of hello and unique visual elbows.
04:58Daph, Daphne, where are you, baby? Papa needs some more elbow grease.
05:01Coming!
05:02You might want to keep your eyes on the road. It's about to get sloppy.
05:07However, an annoyed Summer, frustrated at being the third wheel,
05:11proves that Daphne is only with Rick to survive, not out of desire for the scientist.
05:16Number 25, Daniel Radcliffe as Knight of the Sun.
05:20After his days of being the boy who lives under the stairs,
05:23Radcliffe has taken a lot of different yet fascinating roles.
05:26With his love of Rick and Morty, he was bound to be in the show eventually,
05:30and it arrived in season six when he played the lore-keeping Knight of the Sun under Sir Mortaniel.
05:35Ha ha! He's heard of us!
05:37But he wasn't the only UK cameo in this episode.
05:40Playing the role of the blonde mustache knight was David Mitchell,
05:43and he brought with him two of the other stars from the cult classic peep show.
05:47Taking on the part of the red-haired and bearded knight was Robert Webb.
05:51Finally, the knight with the goat patch beard was Matt King, better known as Super Hans.
05:56As long as the Knights of the Sun stand together,
05:58the solar system will always have complete political stability.
06:01Where are the Knights of the Sun, by the way? I'm done pooping.
06:04Hmm? Did the, uh, Knights of the Sun disband?
06:09Number 24, Lisa Kudrow as the Tyrannosaurus.
06:13After stealing our hearts and minds as Phoebe Princess Consuela Banana Hammock Buffet in Friends,
06:18Kudrow carved out a new career as a voice actor with roles in American Dad, BoJack Horseman, and Housebroken.
06:24Well, remember, Diablo, life gives you many opportunities to make pee-pee.
06:29In season six, she arrived in Rick and Morty as a godly Tyrannosaurus who transforms the Earth into a dino utopia.
06:36But since it involves humans, we don't like change.
06:39And things go back to normal as Rick makes the dinos question their moral integrity.
06:43Our final act of kindness.
06:45It's been an honor serving the sanctity of life with you all.
06:48But Kudrow wasn't the only famous face-slash-voice to play a dinosaur in Jurassic Mort.
06:53Taking on the role of the Brachiosaurus was singer-songwriter and trilby enthusiast Jason Mraz.
06:59Fun fact, the other big dino part of the Triceratops was done by the show's co-creator, Dan Harmon.
07:04Number 23, Taika Waititi as Glutie.
07:07If you need a quirky character to be voiced by someone with a New Zealand accent, look no further than Waititi.
07:13After all, he made vampires seem far less terrifying and far more funny.
07:18With that in mind, the Kiwi actor and director was cast as Glutie in season four.
07:23Why does it say do not develop my app on your intern's forehead?
07:26Why? You want to develop one?
07:27I'm glad you asked that, Jerry. It's so you don't develop his app.
07:30Glutie, go make some photocopies of something.
07:33Cool.
07:33The derriere-named character was introduced as Rick's friendly intern with an express warning to not develop an app with him.
07:40However, Jerry is easily persuaded to do just that with love finders, causing folks to become obsessed with love.
07:47The very passive Glutie does turn on his race by helping Jerry and Morty foil his race with their master plan of stealing Earth's water.
07:54So that's nice.
07:55I'm not helping you any more than that.
07:57But if you can find the hangar, grab a ship and get the hell out of here.
07:59Where are you going, Glutie?
08:01I've got a date.
08:02We're dumping a dating app.
08:04Glutie!
08:05Number 22.
08:06Jack Black as Viscount of Venus.
08:09With ties to both of the show's creators, Black had to be on Rick and Morty eventually.
08:14The actor and rocker got the perfect opportunity to play the devious and bizarre Viscount of Venus in season six.
08:19The suns of the moon can attack the sun.
08:21Why should the Viscounts of Venus continue sitting in Saturn's shadow?
08:25After Morty becomes king of the sun and neglects his duties, causing the knights to disband and take up substances,
08:31various planets fight to rule the solar system, including Double V.
08:35He's actually the final holder of the ceremonial scepter before Rick steals it back.
08:39Those crusty knights won't do the sun much good without their-
08:42Ooh!
08:44Let's hear them out.
08:45The Viscount then got a right-row seat to witness Morty remove little Morty as part of his crowning, which is unsettling.
08:52But of course, shenanigans meant that didn't happen.
08:55Number 21.
08:56Keith David as President Andre Curtis and Reverse Giraffe.
09:00There aren't many voice actors as prolific and as recognizable as David.
09:05Seemingly, if you want your animated show to be a success or beloved, signing up this legend ensures it will be.
09:11It worked for Archer, Final Space, and BoJack Horseman.
09:14So Rick and Morty gave David the recurring role of President Andre Curtis.
09:17I'm sure you did.
09:19Dismissed.
09:20Dismissed?
09:21Yeah, dismissed.
09:22Not needed here.
09:23You can leave and nobody will care.
09:24After making his debut in season 2's Get Schwifty,
09:27the frenemy of Rick has returned several times to add his baritone vocals to proceedings.
09:32But David's first appearance in the show wasn't as the president, but as the reverse giraffe in Total Rickall.
09:37So maybe we're just all fake.
09:40Or maybe there's only one deceiver here.
09:43The person that keeps telling us the path to salvation is being held prisoner and mistrusting each other.
09:48Hey, don't blame me.
09:49I tried to shoot Summer 10 minutes ago.
09:51I know.
09:52Unlike the Commander-in-Chief,
09:53this role didn't last long as RG was revealed to be a memory parasite and was obliterated by Rick.
10:03If anyone could prove to be Rick's celebrity equal,
10:05Stephen Colbert would be a top candidate.
10:08Mr. Trump, your presidency?
10:09I love your presidency.
10:11I call it disgrace the nation.
10:13Appearing in the episode The Ricks Must Be Crazy,
10:16Colbert plays Rick's microverse alter ego,
10:20whose callous nature and pomposity give Rick a run for his money.
10:23Rick the alien.
10:25Rick the alien.
10:27Really? You're gonna pull that move?
10:29Colbert successfully mirrors creator Justin Roiland's vocal approach to Rick,
10:33only upping the sarcasm and eliminating the burp-inflected dialogue
10:37while replicating famous lines said by Rick in earlier episodes.
10:41Eek, Barba Durkel.
10:43Somebody's gonna get laid in college.
10:45Regardless, the excellent use of the intellectual current host of The Late Show
10:49is a welcomed addition to Rick and Morty's ever-growing cast of reputable and memorable guest stars.
10:55Peace among worlds, Rick.
11:02We have 34 armed guards and we can't kill a pickle.
11:04Possibly the most beloved and certainly the most memed episode of season 3,
11:09sees Rick turning himself into a pickle.
11:12I turned myself into a pickle, Morty!
11:14Boom! Big reveal, I'm a pickle.
11:17After getting washed down a storm drain, Rick ends up in a shadowy agency.
11:21The agency director tries several times to have Pickle Rick dispatched,
11:25only to meet his fate in a fiery blast.
11:28Farewell, Solenia.
11:32The ice-cold and menacing tones of the director might have been familiar to some.
11:36As English actor Peter Serafinowicz,
11:39best known for his roles as Garth and Saul in Guardians of the Galaxy
11:42and his multiple voice acting roles on shows like Gravity Falls and Archer.
11:46Oh, and he also gave a voice to Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode I, The Phantom Menace.
11:52At last, we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last, we will have revenge.
12:00On a more serious note,
12:02Christina Hendricks' guest spot on Rick and Morty
12:04was a deviation from the bevy of comedic actors to have appeared on the show.
12:08Hopefully, if you follow my lead, you can avoid some of the mistakes I've made here.
12:11Hello, John.
12:12I like that one.
12:13She plays Unity, an alien entity capable of assimilating entire populations,
12:18who was also Rick's one-time girlfriend.
12:21You're a whole planet now, huh?
12:22After we broke up, I spent some time wandering through space.
12:26Hendricks expertly voices a character that's both emotionally complex
12:29and able to explore the more psychological angles employed by Rick and Morty
12:34as a work of genuine science fiction.
12:36Beta-7 over there is hoping your alliance can be more than practical.
12:42Hahaha!
12:43Although short on the funny side,
12:45this Mad Men star's sweet and charming approach to such a layered character
12:48is a great example that proves that this show is not just toilet humor.
12:53I lose who I am and become part of you.
12:56Because in a strange way, you're better at what I do without even trying.
12:59Things don't work out between Unity and Rick,
13:01which is great news for Beta-7, voiced by Patton Oswalt.
13:05You're classified as a hostile entity, and Unity doesn't want to talk to you.
13:09I know your game, Beta-7!
13:10I've met a billion of you, you little on-deck, in-the-wings, shoulder-to-cry-on!
13:13You are classified as a hostile entity.
13:16Number 17, Christian Slater as Vance Maximus.
13:20The down-to-earth and likable voice of Christian Slater
13:23hit it big time as one of the mythical vindicators
13:25in Rick and Morty's third season parody of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
13:30Sorry I'm late. It was happy hour.
13:32Hahaha!
13:33Happy hour!
13:34Cast as the Peter Quill-inspired Vance Maximus,
13:37the easily-triggered and fair-weather space hero
13:39features some dynamic voice work from the veteran teen star-turned-Hollywood-and-television icon.
13:45All you have to do is know the difference between good and bad, and root for good!
13:48Although Slater's stint as Maximus was short-lived,
13:51as the character is hilariously killed off fairly quickly in the episode,
13:56the actor's perfect mix of cocky attitude and outright panic
13:59make Vance Maximus a hilarious example of Rick and Morty's disdain for mainstream heroes.
14:04This is triggering me. I need space.
14:07I need space from this!
14:15Having made numerous other TV cameos,
14:18it was only a matter of time until Elon Musk appeared on Rick and Morty.
14:21Rick, Morty, why me?
14:23Did something happen to Elon Musk in your own reality?
14:25No, no, no, he's fine, but this is a team operation,
14:28and regular Elon can be a little bit controlling.
14:31So how does the show utilize one of this generation's most innovative minds?
14:35They have him voice another version of himself, with Tusks.
14:39Get it? Musk? Tusk?
14:41And naturally, Tesla is Tuskla in this dimension.
14:45Longer teeth aside, Tusk might be a little less controlling than Musk,
14:50although the differences end there.
14:52Let's talk over here.
14:56How serious is the situation?
14:57Incredibly serious, and every minute counts.
14:59In that case, I'm sorry I made you move over here for no reason.
15:01Well, yeah, that was a little weird.
15:04Musk is a good sport throughout the episode, poking fun at his eccentric quirks.
15:08The SpaceX founder's presence is only made funnier by the fact
15:11that he doesn't contribute that much to the fight against Hystotron.
15:15We're ready when you are, Rick.
15:16We love that Musk took time out of his busy schedule for such a random cameo.
15:25Speaking of random cameos,
15:27this episode sees Matthew Broderick go from voicing the Lion King
15:32to a talking cat who may or may not be from outer space.
15:35So what do you want?
15:36I want you to take us to the airport and get us two first-class tickets to Florida.
15:40Why? I can do that.
15:43Why? No reason.
15:45It's, quote, an attempt to just have fun, as Dan Harmon explained.
15:49With exception to the whole talking thing, the cat seems fairly normal.
15:53How are they gratifying to the male at all?
15:55And if the goal is to make something up, why not make up something funnier?
16:00Broderick even captures the laid-back nature of a common house cat.
16:03The feline harbors a ghastly past, however,
16:06which Rick and Jerry get a traumatizing glimpse of.
16:09Get the hell out of here!
16:10But I got nowhere to go!
16:12Get out! Get out!
16:13Whatever they saw, we cannot imagine Broderick or any cat doing something so horrific.
16:19This twist wouldn't have been as funny with a more over-the-top
16:21or intimidating actor in the role.
16:23Broderick's mild-mannered delivery
16:25perfectly contrasts the atrocities the cat is apparently capable of.
16:29Is there a reason you can speak?
16:31Yeah, and I'm ashamed of it.
16:38Clancy Brown has voiced a crab who runs a restaurant,
16:41a demon detective,
16:42and a mad scientist who keeps losing to an Australian marsupial.
16:46Does his filmography get any weirder than that?
16:49My name is Rosato Groupon.
16:51I am the assistant general manager of the restaurant.
16:54Do you have any comic cards?
16:55Because I might have some thoughts.
16:57Well, in this episode,
16:58he voices an alien who looks like a cross between a blue poodle and a gorilla.
17:03As ridiculous as that sounds,
17:04Brown approaches the role with his signature booming voice and intense delivery,
17:09which only adds to the absurdity.
17:11He even makes the words whirly-dirly sound dire.
17:14There is a popular attraction here called the whirly-dirly.
17:19Rosato Groupon is one of the many individuals who wants Rick dead,
17:22trying to enlist Jerry's help.
17:24His blood-hungry dialogue matches Brown's commanding performance,
17:28although Rosato's revenge mission ultimately results in his undoing.
17:32Our bodies unchanged, yet our minds have lived a thousand lifetimes.
17:36Is that enough time for me to forgive you?
17:38He should've stuck to doing children's birthday parties.
17:40Rosato, you needed.
17:42Someone ordered the Nuzzy Guzzy Fresh and Fuzzy Special.
17:44Mmm.
17:49If we ever get another adaptation of something wicked this way comes,
17:53Alfred Molina would be an inspired choice to play Mr. Dark.
17:56For now, Molina's performance as Lucius Needful will do just fine.
18:00Then perhaps you could make use of this.
18:02This microscope reveals things beyond comprehension.
18:07Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
18:12Lucius goes by another name that you're probably more familiar with.
18:16The Devil
18:17Even the devil and his cursed objects are no match for Rick's inventions.
18:21When science doesn't put the devil in his place, brute force and steroids will.
18:26While we've seen Mileena play villains before, he's at his most deliciously evil here.
18:31As dastardly as the devil is, he can also be wormy and kinda pathetic.
18:36People like Rick are making me obsolete. I mean seriously,
18:39I may be the devil but your grandpa is the devil.
18:42I just want to go back to hell where everyone thinks I'm smart and funny.
18:46Mileena seamlessly transitions between the two, making us fear the devil one second
18:51and laugh at his misfortune the next.
18:57Joel McHale as Hemorrhage
18:58There is no deeper bond than the one between a Deathstalker and his car.
19:02What about the weird guys on leashes then?
19:04They're more like interns.
19:06After Beth and Jerry get a divorce, the kids, especially Summer,
19:10want to get as far away from their broken home life as possible.
19:13In a rebellious turn, Summer would rather hang out in a Mad Max-esque,
19:17post-apocalyptic dieselpunk world.
19:20And after killing off the leader of the Deathstalkers, she is welcomed into the group.
19:32A romance begins between her and the new leader, Hemorrhage.
19:36While it's hard to hear it first with the bucket on his head,
19:39this is Joel McHale, who worked with Dan Harmon previously on Community.
19:43Without the bucket, turns out he's not a scarred mutant,
19:46but a well-groomed, hyper-fashion-conscious dude.
19:49Sort of like McHale's Community character, Jeff Winger.
20:09Poor Morty.
20:10Like any kid, he just wanted to hang out with some superheroes and save the world.
20:15He even cashed in his punch card for choosing an adventure.
20:17But Rick, with his God Complex, doesn't like that Morty could look up to anyone but him.
20:22And so, he systematically kills off the superhero team,
20:26while destroying their morale and goodwill, in a series of Saw-like challenges.
20:31At the end, only Supernova is left, and she is pissed.
20:39She misses her chance to kill Rick off, but there's a chance she'll be back,
20:47as she was voiced by another Community alum, Gillian Jacobs.
21:05Rick and Morty fans were treated to not just one,
21:08but both the vocal talents of the legendary comedic duo,
21:11Key and Peele, in the season 2 premiere.
21:14Appearing more than halfway into the episode,
21:16Keegan-Michael Key brings the hilarity immediately,
21:19with a loud-mouthed and confrontational tone,
21:21much like his many aggressive characters from Mad TV and Key and Peele.
21:30And although Jordan Peele only shows up in the episode's post-credits sequence,
21:34the pair plays off of each other with their trademark banter,
21:37fitting right into their assigned roles,
21:39as time-jumping testicle monsters with severe patience issues.
21:43You know how much time has passed the dinosaurs? Half of all time!
21:46Come on, man, it's this way, come on, give me that thing, speed it up,
21:49you can't be this far back!
21:50There he is, there he is, there he is, there he is, stop, stop!
21:52So that's the guy, huh?
21:53Yeah, that's him.
21:57Hi Morty, I'm Crumbopolis Michael, I'm an assassin, I buy guns from your grandpa.
22:01Ugh, here, go away!
22:03Ooh, yeah, this looks deadly.
22:04Who would have thought that an assassin could be so lovable?
22:07Guess people are just happy to see others happy in their work, right?
22:11Possibly the only Gromflamite that Rick is willing to do business with,
22:14Crumbopolis Michael just loves killing stuff,
22:17and for this assignment, he needs an antimatter gun, which he purchases from Rick.
22:22Morty takes exception, and later accidentally kills this short-lived fan-favorite character.
22:27The enthusiastic hired gun was voiced by comedian Andy Daly,
22:31best known for his work on Eastbound and Down, Adventure Time, and Comedy Bang Bang.
22:36Has there been times where, in the panic of the moment,
22:39I have accidentally taken out the old batteries and put them in the bag of new batteries?
22:50Considering she's an Oscar-winning guest,
22:52the series creators brought out the big guns in providing Susan Sarandon with a dynamite script
22:57and a quirky character that's both endearing and hilariously out of place
23:01when dealing with the anomalous Smith family.
23:04Smith family, I'm Dr. Wong, come on in.
23:06In the popular Pickle Rick episode, Sarandon, voicing Dr. Wong,
23:11racist name by the way,
23:13has the misfortune of seeing the dysfunctional Smiths through family therapy.
23:17Does grandpa turn himself into a pickle a lot?
23:20What? No, what kind of question is that?
23:23The kind that wasn't designed to attack or hurt you in any way.
23:26While conversing with Rick, who happens to be in pickle form for the entire episode,
23:30Sarandon's deadpan and serious flow in such a ridiculous situation
23:34make the inclusion of the A-list actress all the more hilarious.
23:52One of the leaders in cult television acting,
23:55Nathan Fillion is no stranger to goofy characters and voice acting.
24:05His easily recognizable voice was the perfect surprise for fans
24:11when he appeared in the series' surprise season 3 premiere on April Fool's Day 2017.
24:26Starring as Cornelius Daniel,
24:28a Galactic Federation agent sent into Rick's mind
24:31to obtain the mad scientist's portal gun formula,
24:34Fillion does an excellent job of going from cocky to panicked in the blink of an eye
24:39once the tables have turned on him.
24:45The beloved actor gains extra points for doing a spot-on impersonation of Rick,
24:49burps and all,
24:50once his brain has been taken over by his conniving rival.
25:04While the voice actors behind Rick and Morty always have great comedic timing,
25:09their dramatic range sometimes catches us off guard.
25:17It should come as no surprise that Alison Brie is well suited to voice the adorable,
25:22plucky and wide-eyed Planetina.
25:24The character takes a dark turn, however,
25:26leading to her devastating breakup with Morty.
25:29You may think we're exaggerating when we say devastating.
25:34But that's not the case.
25:36Morty is the only way I can save Earth.
25:39The only way I can save you.
25:41If that's the only way, I don't want to be saved.
25:44Please go.
25:45But... I love you.
25:47Listening to Brie's emotional line readings though,
25:50our hearts can't help but sink.
25:52You'd expect this kind of acting in a tragic romance movie.
25:55The notion that it's in a Captain Planet parody is funny,
25:58yet still brings us to tears.
26:00Planetina's parting words to Morty still sting,
26:04especially the actress.
26:05I'll go, but don't you dare ask me to understand.
26:09Planetina, I'm so sorry.
26:15Donald Trump is America's back mole.
26:18It may have seemed harmless a year ago,
26:21but now that it's gotten frighteningly bigger,
26:23it is no longer wise to ignore it.
26:25One of the series' first guest stars,
26:27John Oliver brought his sly wittiness to his appearance as Dr. Xenon Bloom,
26:32the bacterial chief engineer of Anatomy Park.
26:35Hey Bloom, it's Rick.
26:36What the hell's going on here?
26:37I don't know why,
26:38but the entire security system has shut down,
26:42and I'm afraid the exhibits are unlocked.
26:45Acting in a John Hammond slash Walt Disney-type capacity,
26:49Oliver brings forth many typical megalomaniacal traits,
26:53such as over-explaining the various goings-on,
26:55as well as stating the obvious at almost every perilous turn.
27:00With an excellent sense of comedic timing,
27:02the former Daily Show writer and current Last Week Tonight host
27:05proved to be a heavy hitter early in Rick and Morty's guest roster.
27:08It's just a shame that Dr. Bloom had to willingly sacrifice himself,
27:12ending the chance for any further appearances from the wacky mogul.
27:16Wait, there is an autopilot.
27:18Wait!
27:20It's okay, never mind!
27:21I don't want to sacrifice myself anyway!
27:27You turn to me and say something sexy like,
27:29Is that it?
27:31I know what you're trying to say, girl.
27:32You're trying to say,
27:33Aw, yeah, that's it!
27:34The musical humor of Flight of the Conchords and Rick and Morty
27:38is a match that is almost too good to be true,
27:41and viewers were treated to one half of the musical duo
27:44with Jemaine Clement's turn as the unfortunately named Fart
27:47in the season two episode, Morty Night Run.
27:50Oh, good job, Morty!
27:51You killed my best customer, but you saved a mind-reading fart!
27:55I like this name, Fart.
27:57Evoking the silliness of his Conchords character,
27:59including deadpan humor bordering on the ignorant,
28:02Fart's inadvertently evil character is brought to hilarious life
28:06via Clement's fantastic monotonous voice.
28:09Are you going on a quest to find he who smelt it?
28:11I came here accidentally through a wormhole located in what you call,
28:15get out of my head, Fart, I know you're in here, la la la la.
28:18Topping it all off, Fart's top-notch song,
28:21Goodbye, Moon Men,
28:22a ridiculous Bowie-esque psychedelic masterpiece,
28:25has made him one of the most iconic characters in the series.
28:41Number three, David Cross as Prince Nebulon.
28:44And listen, I'm sorry for yelling earlier.
28:47I couldn't ask for a better staff.
28:49I love you guys, and I love all your family.
28:52It takes a special sort of someone to pull a fast one on Rick Sanchez.
28:56In their bid to get the recipe for concentrated dark matter,
28:59a group of Zygerions abduct Rick, Jerry, and Morty.
29:03Or do they?
29:04The convoluted scheme involving a simulation inside more simulations
29:08is led by Prince Nebulon, the leader of the Zygerions.
29:12Oh, I see, oh, oh, it was no one's fault.
29:14Oh, okay, I'm sorry, well then, problem solved.
29:17Oh wait, no, there's still another human in here!
29:20Bringing the hapless scammer to life is David Cross,
29:23perhaps best known for his turn as Dr. Tobias Funke on Arrested Development.
29:28The hilarious actor and comedian also played the lead
29:31in the increasingly poor decisions of Todd Margaret,
29:34Slave Pirate Noah on Archer,
29:36and Dwight in Scary Movie 2, among many other roles.
29:40I've got to put my foot down and stand up for what I believe in
29:43and say that we've got to pull the plug.
29:45Number two, Danny Trejo as Jaguar.
29:48In one of the most iconic episodes from the third season of Rick and Morty,
29:52the Pickle Rick episode yielded one of the series' most badass
29:55and memorable guest characters in Jaguar,
29:58the incarcerated criminal who only wants his daughter back.
30:01Perhaps I could arrange her escape as well.
30:04She lives, Jaguar.
30:06Voiced by legendary action movie star Danny Trejo,
30:09mostly in grunts and growled kitschy action movie catchphrases,
30:13Jaguar maintains an air of ridiculous over-the-top traits
30:17akin to almost every gung-ho action vehicle from the 1980s and onward.
30:21I never bullshit, Pickle Man.
30:23This can only end with one of us dead.
30:25The only thing we hope for in the coming Rick and Morty seasons
30:28is more random appearances from this incredible assassin.
30:32Good luck with that.
30:33Wait, do I have infinite daughters?
30:35Huh? No.
30:37No, nope.
30:37Sorry about that.
30:38Nope, just me.
30:41Yeesh.

30:58Number 1.
30:59Werner Herzog as Old Reptile
31:01I've dwelt among the humans.
31:04Their entire culture is built around their penises.
31:07It's funny to say they're small.
31:10It's funny to say they're big.
31:12Jerry is rushed into a space hospital after coming into contact with some bacteria Rick was storing.
31:18And so begins the B-story of Interdimensional Cable 2.
31:22Throughout, Jerry is urged to donate his penis to save the life of Shrimply Pibbles,
31:27a civil rights leader beloved across galaxies.
31:30Unsure of why Jerry is hesitant,
31:32an old reptile explains man's love of his penis.
31:35This reptile is voiced by highly influential and respected German director,
31:39screenwriter, and actor Werner Herzog.
31:42His films are known for their precision,
31:44and his narration often adds a dark, somber tone.
31:53Despite his intimidating status,
31:54he's lent his acting skills to several comedies,
31:57including Parks and Recreation, The Simpsons, and The Boondocks.
32:09What voice actor would you like to hear in Rick and Morty?
32:11Andy Samberg?
32:12Bill Nye the Science Guy?
32:14Whoopi Goldberg?
32:15Hannah Waddingham or someone else?
