00:00 Hi, I'm Rob Eastway. I've been doing a talk here at Dean Trust in Wigan to a group of Year 9s and Year 10s
00:07 talking about my new book, Much Ado About Numbers, which is the connection between maths and Shakespeare.
00:13 And you might think, what is the connection between maths and Shakespeare?
00:16 It turns out there is lots of mathematical ideas in Shakespeare and he was surrounded by lots of interesting ideas.
00:22 So we've been talking about history and music and maths and literature and science all in the same talk
00:29 because they're all connected. So I hope it's just given the students here a chance to see that maths is connected
00:35 to lots of other things, not just working out calculations for exams. So that's what I've been doing.
