00:19 Operation New Blood is infusing the Rainbow Six Siege roster with some Year 9 Season 2 shake-ups
00:26 as the Recruit Remaster bestows a big-time promotion.
00:30 Say hello to Striker on the attack and Sentry on the defense.
00:36 Though these former recruits don't have their own unique gadgets,
00:40 they do have the unique ability to bring two different secondary gadgets,
00:45 allowing you to create some electrifying playmaking combos.
00:50 Also this season, two dominant defenders, Fenrir and Solis, are dialing it back a notch,
00:56 and Barbed Wire is sharpening its teeth.
00:59 The noisy obstruction will now damage operators that move through it.
01:03 These updates, as well as versus AI additions, map filter changes, stadium renovations,
01:09 and more are coming in Operation New Blood.
01:14 The Recruit Remaster is here, and henceforth these operators will be known as Striker and Sentry.
01:21 Each can now be selected in Ranked Play,
01:24 and their appearance can be customized in the manner every other operator is accustomed to.
01:29 Unlike other operators, Striker and Sentry do not have unique gadgets.
01:34 Instead, each can choose two secondary gadgets to bring into the fray.
01:40 So Striker can finally realize the attacker's dream of solo opening an electrified wall
01:47 by taking impact EMP grenades and a hard Breach Charge.
01:51 Or perhaps just a regular Breach Charge paired with a strategic Claymore
01:55 to create routes that are perilous for defenders to follow.
01:59 Every secondary gadget an attacker could choose, Striker gets to choose too,
02:05 provided they aren't the same choice.
02:07 So, no doubling down on smoke grenades, all you diffuser plant enthusiasts.
02:12 Maybe just some stuns on the side.
02:15 Meanwhile, on defense, Sentry also has two choices to make,
02:20 but from a very different pool of gadgets.
02:23 They can go all in on the intel game by bringing an observation blocker
02:27 and placing a bulletproof camera nearby to further deter prying eyes.
02:32 Or they can create some very dangerous situations
02:35 by serving up strategic proximity alarm placement with a Nitro Cell Chaser.
02:42 The key here is flexibility, as both Sentry and Striker open up possibilities
02:48 for both solo and team utility compositions that were not possible before.
02:54 And each one has a versatile loadout to match.
02:57 On the attack, Striker brandishes the M4 Assault Rifle or the M249 Light Machine Gun
03:03 as their primary, with the 5.7 USG Pistol or ITA-12S Shotgun as their secondary.
03:11 Sentry, on the defense, wields the Commando 9 Assault Rifle
03:15 or the M870 Shotgun as their primary options,
03:19 with the C75 Auto Machine Pistol or Super Shorty Shotgun in the secondary slot.
03:26 Operation New Blood is also bringing balancing changes for Fenrir and Solis
03:31 to address these dominant defenders.
03:34 Fenrir will now only have four FNAT Dreadmines to distribute
03:38 with two activation codes to deploy amongst them,
03:41 and the mines will no longer be bulletproof in any state.
03:45 This means less mines are active, and they're easier to remove.
03:50 But once a mine is destroyed, Fenrir will now be refunded the code instead of losing it,
03:57 allowing him to more easily use the full complement of his mines.
04:01 As for his loadout, his Barbed Wire option will be replaced with the Observation Blocker.
04:08 On the Solis side, her Spec.IO Electro Sensor will no longer be usable during the prep phase,
04:14 giving droning attackers a little more breathing room.
04:18 Once the action phase is underway, the gadget will have a reduced duration of 10 seconds,
04:23 as well as a reduced range of 12 meters.
04:26 Plus, it'll need to be fully recharged before each activation.
04:30 Finally, her Impact Grenade option is being replaced with Proximity Alarm.
