00:19 What are the reasons behind the increase in the purchase?

00:22 Is there a shortage of supply, particularly in vegetables, pork and fish?

00:26 We do not have a shortage of supply. In fact, in our vegetables, although there is a slight increase,

00:35 especially in Southern Tagalog, the effect of the typhoon.

00:39 This can easily be compensated by our production from Central Luzon, Region 2 and Nimaropa.

00:48 As for our pork, we continue to have issues with African swine fever.

00:53 Although we have already declared that there are many places that are free of AFM,

00:57 the virus, as long as we don't have a vaccine, will continue to spread.

01:04 We are hoping that hopefully within the year, there will be approval from the FBA

01:09 for the two vaccines that were enrolled from America and Vietnam.

01:14 So is it possible that the increase in prices will decrease because of the typhoon in the coming days?

01:21 Yes. Normally, it will be less than a week and it will return to normal.

01:26 Because Calabarzon, in particular Laguna, Batangas and Quezon,

01:30 are our primary suppliers or producers of lowland vegetables.

01:36 So there is a slight effect, but again, our production from other parts of the country, in particular Central Luzon, will be compensated.

01:46 Regarding the typhoon, how much is the total cost and the area of land that was left by the typhoon in our agriculture?

01:52 Roughly, the total cost of the typhoon is P22.8 million pesos.

02:00 Most of it is in Calabarzon, the majority is in the province and Laguna, in Palayan and our vegetables.
