आईएएनएस को दिए इंटरव्यू में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने राहुल गांधी और अरविंद केजरीवाल जैसे विपक्षी नेताओं को पाकिस्तान से मिल रहे समर्थन पर कहा था कि ये जांच पड़ताल का विषय है। इसके अलावा भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ हो रहे जांच एजेंसियों के एक्शन पर उन्होंने कहा था कि अब बड़े बड़े मगरमच्छ पकड़े जा रहे हैं तो विपक्ष को तकलीफ हो रही है। पीएम मोदी के इन बयानों पर उनके संसदीय क्षेत्र वाराणसी के आम लोगों ने उनकी बातों पर सहमति जताते हुए कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री ने जो कहा है तथ्यों के आधार पर कहा है। पाकिस्तान भारत का मुकाबला नहीं कर सकता तो वो भारत में ही राजनीतिक तत्वों को अपना हथियार बनाने का प्रयास करता है। भ्रष्टाचारियों पर एक्शन ऐसा होना चाहिए कि वो नजीर बने।
