00:36Smith, they never look back. They win game number two by a final of three
00:41nothing. Booked as a minus 126 money line road favorite up in Queens against the
00:48Mets. Bad times for New York. Good times at least for the Dodgers snapping a
00:53five-game skid with two straight wins. They needed that and usually you come
00:58into a doubleheader and say we're probably just gonna get a split here but
01:01also if you're the Dodgers you haven't scored a run. Your offense has been
01:04terrible over the past couple games. You find yourself down to nothing. Oh no,
01:07we're gonna get shut out in game number one. We better win game number two. They
01:11end up winning both of those because the Mets just can't close anybody out.
01:14Whether it's Edwin Diaz coming in to close or you give him a breather and
01:17bring somebody else in. It doesn't matter. Things aren't happening for them late in
01:21the innings and that is troublesome because there's no more demoralizing
01:24defeat in Major League Baseball than having your bullpen blow a multi-run
01:28lead late in the game when you expected to win that game and have a formidable
01:31closer like the Mets actually have. But their bats aren't waking up. They sit 22
01:36and 31 now in the season but also more important from a Dodgers perspective. You
01:40get that doubleheader sweep win. Now you're feeling good like okay we're
01:43wiping those bad vibes away over the past four to five days. Let's get back on
01:46it and see if we can destroy the Mets even more. But the question comes down to
01:50we know the Dodgers are good. Coming into the season we didn't expect a lot
01:54from the Mets but I don't think anybody even the harshest critic expected 22 and
01:5831 out of the gate. I don't know what the future for the Mets is but right now
02:01that future is playing bad baseball.
