00:04 of people say, well, I couldn't discovery go 100 episodes, but even at its peak, there

00:08 were executive producers tell me like 100 episodes in the streaming thing.

00:12 That's a tall order.

00:13 Um, Alex, do you think there's a possibility of any modern track show hitting 100 episodes

00:18 in this day and age?

00:19 I don't know.

00:20 It's very hard.

00:21 You know, I mean, the fact that we've gone five seasons is sort of a miracle.

00:24 I think most people watch two seasons of a streaming show and they check out, you know,

00:28 and that's not specific to Trek.

00:30 I just think that's the watch pattern for television, you know, in the streaming world.

00:34 It's hard to know.

00:35 Um, I think that my guess would be that it would be unlikely, Mick.

00:40 Um, but in some ways I think what's lovely about that is, you know, you watch, you know,

00:46 it's funny you can talk to, to old writers of old Trek series and they're like, man,

00:50 we were, there's a bunch of filler episodes in there.

00:53 We were just trying to get to 22 a season, you know, and you, we all know what those

00:56 episodes were.

00:57 But some of the ones that were truly stellar from the ones that felt like they were kind

01:01 of spinning their wheels.

01:02 And so I think what 10 episodes a season forces you to do is really make sure that every story

01:06 counts as much as it possibly can.

01:08 And I like that.

01:09 You know, I like that.

01:10 I like what that affords us now.
