00:00 Obviously the chiefs are coming on Friday. Their last celebration was disrupted by a shooting.
00:05 Does the president plan on using this moment to talk about gun violence,
00:09 particularly since we haven't seen any kind of legislative movement,
00:12 either at the federal level or even at the state level?
00:14 Well, I mean, look, let's take a full look of what we –
00:17 Since the shooting.
00:18 Well, since the shooting, okay, I'm glad you made that point,
00:22 because this president has taken more executive actions than any modern-day president,
00:27 more than two dozen executive actions on gun violence,
00:30 on trying to prevent this epidemic that we see across our country.
00:34 As you know, there was a bipartisan bill that was passed about two years ago now,
00:38 going to be two years ago, and so the president has been incredibly active on this.
00:42 And since the shooting, he did create an office of gun violence prevention,
00:48 which is the first historic office to happen.
00:52 Obviously the vice president is the head of that.
00:56 But it has taken on the different executive actions that we have been able to get through,
01:03 also components of the law that was passed in a bipartisan way to move that,
01:08 to move some of those actions forward a lot quicker
01:11 and offer, obviously, assistance on the ground.
01:14 So, look, the president takes every moment that he can when there's an opportunity
01:19 to speak on gun violence prevention and to call on Congress to take more action.
01:24 I'm not going to get ahead of the event, as you just stated, with the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday,
01:32 so we will certainly have more to share as we get closer to that day.
01:35 Do you know if Taylor Swift might be coming?
01:37 That's a good question.
01:39 I think the Swifties behind these double doors are hoping that Taylor Swift makes an appearance.
01:46 I don't have anything for you.
01:49 I don't know. I can't speak to her schedule.
01:51 But I know there's a lot of interest in this building, on this campus.
