00:06Now we'll be hearing from restaurant owners like Neil Perry and representatives from the
00:10Maryvale Group and what their biggest concern is the hospitality industry surviving into
00:16the future in this cost of living crisis.
00:18Now some restaurants say they've seen a decline in customers coming to their venue while others
00:23say they're feeling the pinch of rising produce costs.
00:27And here in one of Sydney's premium dining precincts, we've also seen some restaurants
00:32have to close their doors.
00:33Now the hospitality industry brings in $64 billion of revenue every year and employs
00:39around half a million people.
00:41And some of those people are students who are working part time to make a living while
00:45others it's their first job after leaving school.
00:48So this crisis doesn't just impact restaurant owners, it also impacts their employees and
00:52people who like to enjoy a meal out.
