Senator Tim Scott posted a video on X, saying, "We, the people, stand with Donald Trump." Senator Marco Rubio called it a "mockery of our system of justice," and Senator Tom Cotton claimed it was a "weaponization of the legal system." Trump has not yet announced his VP pick but said he will do so closer to the Republican National Convention next month.
