00:00 Hi, my name's Sam Quine, Digital Reporter for the Lancashire Post and I'm heading to
00:05 Hort Dolce, a luxury dessert parlour in Blackburn located in the town centre. So come with me
00:12 as I go to check out and review some of the desserts they have to offer.
00:18 Situated just past the Blackburn Cathedral, the Hort Dolce Blackburn store is a chic and
00:24 stylish destination for dining and relaxation. Located on Church Street, this stunning two
00:29 storey space boasts bright and airy interiors with breathtaking views of the city and the
00:35 contemporary design features elegant seating areas and private dining options for a romantic
00:40 treat. With locations up and down the country, this
00:45 luxury dessert parlour takes immense pride in their handcrafted selection of desserts
00:50 created to satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth. Their meticulously crafted menu
00:57 features an array of cakes, cheesecakes, fluffy pancakes, indulgent cookie dough and other
01:03 exquisite confections. All of their desserts are crafted using only the finest and freshest
01:09 ingredients ensuring every bite is a sensory delight.
01:14 As you can see, flicking through their menu there was simply too much choice and I just
01:18 didn't know what to get for myself but I decided to go for a milkshake which took the
01:24 flavour of a Ferrero Rocher and also some French toast which had the flavour of mixed
01:31 berries. Now, onto the milkshake and this was lovely.
01:38 It's Ferrero Rocher kind of flavour and the added Ferrero Rocher on top really made for
01:45 an exquisite drink. It felt like a meal at times, how thick it was but I do like my milkshakes
01:52 thick and I definitely recommend this one.
01:57 Now onto the main event and I went for the Berry Good French Toast which came with a
02:02 side of cream to be drizzled over and the kind workers at Hort Dolce also gifted me
02:08 two strawberries which were dipped in chocolate and some chocolate drizzling sauce.
02:15 Now aside from being an actual work of art that I didn't even really want to take a bite
02:19 into because it was that beautiful, the French toast itself was a delight. I don't have the
02:27 biggest of sweet tooths but this definitely satisfied that part of the taste buds and
02:33 as you can see I completely demolished it. The cream drizzled over was excellent and
02:41 the berries really kind of give it a fresh approach but yes, to anyone in the Blackburn
02:47 area I definitely recommend Hodo Chi.
