00:00 The Philippine Navy has accused China of illegally entering the Ayungin Shoal,
00:05 which is part of the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines.
00:08 The AFP has already captured a video of how the Chinese stole and threw in-air drafts of food and other supplies to the BRP Sierra Madre.
00:19 We have first news, Sandra Aguinaldo.
00:22 [Video]
00:35 Two rubber boats of the Philippines are in a race against two larger rigid-hulled inflatable boats of China.
00:43 They were caught on May 19 when they threw in-air drafts of supplies for the soldiers of the BRP Sierra Madre in the Ayungin Shoal.
00:51 But one of the packages containing food fell into the sea,
00:55 so our soldiers were shocked when the Chinese stole the food supply that fell.
01:02 [Video]
01:18 According to the AFP, when the Chinese saw the contents of the package, they threw it back into the sea.
01:24 It was removed from the video of China that the Philippines is spreading in the sea.
01:30 Some of the food items were recovered by the Filipinos, but most of them sank and were damaged.
01:36 At one point, the Chinese rubber boat was only five to ten meters away from the Philippine ship.
01:43 The PLA agents have no authority to be within our exclusive economic zone.
01:50 They should not be there.
01:52 They have no right.
01:55 They were trespassing into our exclusive economic zone.
01:59 Secondly, they interfered in a legal operational resupply mission.
02:05 This incident is connected to the Chinese who fired a gun at the Philippine Coast Guard, which was denied by the AFP.
02:16 We are denying that any of our soldiers pointed deliberately their guns to any of the Chinese in the ribs.
02:31 But we will not deny the fact that they were armed because the BRP Sierra Madre is a commissioned Philippine Navy ship.
02:45 Therefore, it is authorized to have weapons.
02:49 They just went out just to get ready in case something happens because it's very close.
02:54 It's just a few seconds. They only have seconds to react if something happens.
02:59 China has repeatedly denied the BRP Sierra Madre's trespassing into your inshore.
03:05 They are also saying that they are sending construction materials to the ship.
03:10 Now, China said that the Philippines is repeatedly entering and causing trouble.
03:18 We were doing a peaceful resupply mission and here they are trying to intervene.
03:24 In fact, they even confiscated one of our supply packages.
03:29 By doing so and by coming very close to the BRP Sierra Madre, this causes alarm to our soldiers.
03:38 We have rules of engagement. If your enemy is that close, you should be prepared.
03:46 We could not airdrop construction materials.
03:50 Their narrative is that they do the blocking because of construction materials.
03:55 I would like to point out that they have zero common sense.
04:00 Currently, 125 Chinese vessels are inside the West Philippine Sea, more than 112 that were counted last week.
04:11 According to Scholl, the AFP also noted that the People's Liberation Army of China conducted a military exercise closer to the mainland Palawan than your inshore.
04:23 The conduct of an exercise is unauthorized under UNCLOS. It's not allowed.
04:28 This is the first news. Sandra Aguinaldo for GMA Integrated News.
