Bill Shorten says there’s been a significant boost in NDIS compliance officers

The minister responsible for the $42 billion National Disability Insurance Scheme insists change is underway to remove fraud in the system. Senate estimates has heard courts are unable to keep up with soaring numbers of participants being exploited by criminals. The government is currently trying to secure support for a suite of reforms to the scheme, including requiring all providers to be registered, a move that previously sparked concern from the disability community.
