The disabled e-hailing driver who claims he was assaulted by a member of a VIP's security detail has been called up to Bukit Aman to have his statement recorded.

Ong Ing Keong, 46, arrived together with Lawyers for Liberty (LFL) representatives Latheefa Koya and N. Surendran at 10.40am on Wednesday (June 5).

00:29 Tan Sri Razaruddin Hussain, who said all those involved in the incident should come forward.

00:43 Previously, police received a report from the disabled driver at 1 p.m. on May 28.
00:50 The victim claimed to have been assaulted by a member of a VIP's security escort while
00:54 waiting for a customer at the St. Regis Hotel.
00:57 He then lodged a second police report at night on the same day, claiming the matter had been
01:02 resolved amicably and he did not want to prolong the case.
01:06 However, the victim then claimed that he was offered 800 ringgit to settle the matter.
