Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Says Biden Fears Debating Him More Than Trump Does

It doesn't look like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is going to have a chance to join President Biden and former prez Donald Trump on the debate stage this month -- and he thinks it's mostly Biden blocking him.

00:00I know you filed this complaint with the Federal Elections Commission.
00:06What do you think is behind this decision?
00:10Do you think it's driven by the Biden camp, the Trump camp, both camps, CNN, what?
00:16Rules are that the networks can sponsor debates, but they cannot re-select.
00:22They have to use pre-selected criteria in order to decide who gets to participate in
00:28those debates.
00:29And it has to be objective, neutral criteria.
00:35And what happened, according to the people who participated in that conversation, as
00:40reported by the Washington Post, is that the Biden administration said to CNN, you need
00:46to select rules that will keep Robert Kennedy off the stage or we're not going to participate.
00:52If you have criteria that you design to garner two candidates and to exclude everybody else,
01:05and that is an illegal campaign contribution to those candidates.
01:10And so we've written a complaint to FEC asking them to enforce the rules.
01:16We talked with CNN and CNN was very cagey about exactly what happened in that conversation.
01:23We asked them, did you pre-select, did you select it in response, did you select your
01:30criteria in response to what the Biden administration asked you to do?
01:36And they said, we can't answer that question because it's privilege.
01:39Well, there is no privilege that applies to that conversation.
01:43So they were being dishonest about that.
01:45Do you think that there's one candidate that's more against you being there, obviously because
01:50they think you're going to hurt their chances more?
01:53Both candidates want to be off the stage.
01:55But since the announcement, President Trump has come out publicly and said that he would
02:02welcome me on the stage as long as I meet the criteria, which I do.
02:08The President Biden's staff has said they do not want me on the stage and that they
02:13will not participate if I am on the stage.
02:15So I would say the answer to that question is that President Biden doesn't want me on.
02:22The polls, the best polls show that I take many more votes away from President Trump
02:29than I do from President Biden.
02:31So when we poll our own followers, about 57% of them say that if I'm not in the race that
02:37they're going to support President Trump.
02:40If I'm in the race with President Trump and President Biden, President Trump wins.
02:45If I get out of the race, President Trump wins larger.
02:49He actually gets two more states, Virginia and Maine.
02:52If in a head-to-head race between me and President Trump, I beat President Trump.
02:57President Biden cannot beat President Trump.
02:59I can.
03:00In a head-to-head race between me and President Biden, I win 39 states.
03:06He only wins 11.
