02:00Oh yeah! Oh yeah! Oh yeah!
02:19Today we commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day landings in Normandy, France.
02:26An incredible achievement in military planning and logistics.
02:30The United Prairie Service personnel prepared sea and land forces at the beginning of Operation Overlord.
02:37By the day's end, over 150,000 Allied troops had successfully stormed the now famous
02:45Norm-Juneau-Saul-Utah and Omar beaches to achieve a toehold in France.
02:52In the weeks that followed, the Allies fought bitterly against a determined foe
02:57from the unforgiving countryside of Normandy to the liberation of Paris two months later.
03:03We should all remember and never forget the selfless sacrifice and courage of all those involved
03:10and use the common commemoration to pay our tribute to those who gave so much
03:14to secure the freedom we all enjoy today.
03:18God save the King!
03:38Let us commemorate and commend to the loving mercy of our Heavenly Father,
03:42the Shepherd of souls, the giver of life everlasting,
03:46those who have died in the service of our country and its cause,
03:50and commit ourselves to work in the penitence and faith for reconciliation between the nations,
03:57that all people may, together, live in freedom, justice and peace.
04:02We remember with thanksgiving and sorrow those whose lives in the world wars
04:07and conflicts past and present have been given and taken away.
04:16They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
04:28Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
04:34At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
04:40We will remember them.
