00:02 Hi, my name is Alex Padilla,
00:07 Style Director at Woman's Wedeli,
00:08 and believe it or not,
00:09 we're at the Marylebone train station in London,
00:12 and this lovely space is the Bicester VIP lounge.
00:16 We're waiting for the train to go to the Bicester Village
00:19 to do some shopping,
00:20 and I'm telling you, I cannot wait to go.
00:22 I've never been there, so come with me.
00:24 (upbeat music)
00:26 (upbeat music)
00:29 Thank you, sir.
00:35 - Welcome.
00:35 (upbeat music)
00:38 - Hey.
00:42 - Hi, how are you?
00:43 I'm Tori, I'm the Private Client Director here.
00:45 - So nice to meet you.
00:46 - Welcome.
00:47 - So excited to be here, and look at this.
00:50 Super chic, I love it.
00:52 - It's our absolute pleasure, delighted to have you here.
00:54 We are a luxury shopping destination,
00:58 but for us, it is so much more about shopping.
01:00 It's all about the experience.
01:01 It's all about the best day out.
01:03 So we are literally just under an hour outside London.
01:06 There are nine other villages in Europe
01:09 with similarly outside the main city centers,
01:14 and then we have two villages in China as well.
01:17 And in Bicester Village itself,
01:20 we have 150 of the global luxury and lifestyle brands.
01:24 - You come out, and then you come here,
01:26 and the moment that you get to the train station,
01:28 you have someone greeting you,
01:30 you have a car that takes you here,
01:32 and then when you get here,
01:33 it's what you say, you understand,
01:35 this is not only about shopping,
01:36 this is about a day adventure to me,
01:38 in which I'm gonna have different type of culture,
01:41 fashion, and food, and also people watching.
01:44 I personally love that.
01:45 Talk to me how does this work
01:47 in terms of an extension of your hospitality?
01:50 - There's a beautiful personalized experience.
01:53 You've got fabulous brands,
01:54 you've got people asking if you're okay,
01:56 looking after you throughout the journey of your shopping.
02:00 So all of that combined,
02:02 it's great to hear that you think
02:03 that that feels like a real adventure,
02:05 'cause that's what we want to deliver.
02:06 - I'll talk to you all day, but I'm dying to go shopping.
02:09 - So should we get any Silsander?
02:14 This is like my favorite.
02:15 - I love Silsander.
02:17 Talk to me about the curation of product
02:22 when it comes to the whole product mix.
02:24 How do you ensure that you're engaging your client?
02:28 - So I think Jill's Silsander is a perfect example,
02:31 because it's really fashion,
02:34 it really has a very specific consumer.
02:37 For us, how we're building the brands in the village,
02:39 it's about having the iconic luxury houses,
02:42 it's about having those really cool emerging brands,
02:44 it's about having the beautiful,
02:46 sort of more English, quirky English brands,
02:50 but also having beautiful,
02:53 really fashion-forward brands like Jill's Silsander.
02:56 And we just love that.
02:57 And we have a very, very specific consumer
03:00 who just loves coming here.
03:02 And perhaps we sometimes have clients who say,
03:06 they're buying Jill's Silsander full price,
03:09 but they've gotten something,
03:10 or they really wanted something from the season before.
03:14 And so that way they're able to come here
03:16 and get that full experience,
03:18 because they love Jill's Silsander through and through.
03:21 (upbeat music)
03:24 It's a perfect example of the different curation of brands
03:30 that we've got at Vista.
03:32 Just being in Jill's Silsander,
03:34 different audience, really, really beautiful,
03:36 and you could feel like you were in the world of Jill's Silsander.
03:38 To now come to Vivian Westwood,
03:41 great for a different audience, feels totally different,
03:43 and I think that part of the discovery
03:45 that we've got here is really, really important.
03:47 - Well, you're absolutely right.
03:48 This Jill's Silsander and Vivian Westwood
03:50 at the opposite ends of the spectrum of fashion,
03:53 yet they coexist perfectly.
03:55 You have different people liking different things.
03:57 We know everybody's like you and I,
03:58 that we love fashion as a whole,
04:00 but I think that this is a great shopping opportunity
04:03 for someone who doesn't even know Vivian Westwood,
04:06 for example. - Yeah, completely.
04:07 - So a sense of discovery is right here.
04:09 And I love what you said to me before
04:10 about bringing British heritage brands
04:15 to the big different audience.
04:17 And this is a good example.
04:18 - We will always want to support the British brands.
04:21 That goes without saying.
04:22 And that is something that we feel very important,
04:24 feel very strongly about,
04:27 both from well-established brands like Vivian Westwood,
04:29 but also to those new up-and-coming designers as well.
04:32 And that's very, very important,
04:33 that we really support the British fashion industry
04:36 on that side as well.
04:37 - Oh my God, I could shop all day,
04:44 but I'm dying to have food.
04:46 I'm dying to see this restaurant.
04:47 Let's go. - Let's go.
04:48 - It's so interesting, Tori, to be here at Cicconi's,
04:59 because I've been to Cicconi's in New York.
05:01 I've been to Cicconi's in London.
05:03 I'm very familiar.
05:05 And now, boom, here too.
05:07 - Food is, you know, it feeds the soul.
05:09 It feeds the heart. - I agree.
05:10 - And we know our guests love it.
05:12 And also, it's another reason
05:14 why they love spending time here.
05:16 We really want to try and deliver something
05:19 for the guests here that they don't get elsewhere.
05:22 So although I know you've mentioned Cicconi's
05:23 when you were in London,
05:24 but actually there's lots of people
05:25 who don't have access to Cicconi's.
05:27 So by having it here, it's great.
05:28 We also have a plethora of different cuisines.
05:32 So whether that is Chancherie,
05:34 our amazing Asian restaurant,
05:36 just a little bit further down.
05:38 We have many different cuisines here,
05:40 but also about trying to find
05:42 the sort of iconic hotspots from London.
05:45 - Tori, thank you so much for having me.
05:48 I had the best day.
05:50 - Oh, I'm so glad you have.
05:52 Our home is your home.
05:53 You are welcome here anytime.
05:54 And actually, I hear you may be in La Vallée soon.
05:57 - I know, for Parc des.
05:58 I can't wait.
05:59 Thank you so much.
06:01 - Thank you so much. - See you soon.
06:02 - Take care, bye. - Bye.
