00:08But I say, singing shows that we're happy
00:10and we just sing louder.
00:13So we are one week into June.
00:15We are one week into summer.
00:16It feels like it's been a bit of a cruel summer so far.
00:18But if you grab a cardigan and some sunglasses,
00:21hopefully I can give you a bit of a love story this weekend.

00:25The weather so far this week has been
00:26dominated by a bit of a chill.
00:27And you'll certainly notice that chill first thing
00:29this morning.
00:30And today, temperature-wise, all of our major cities
00:33are below average.
00:34But what I can promise you is something a bit drier
00:37as we head through the weekend.
00:38It stays fairly chilly.
00:40It stays fairly breezy.
00:41Plenty of sunshine developing.
00:43We'll have showers around just across the far north.
00:46This is what's happening.
00:47Low pressure is close by.
00:49That is what's bringing the showers this weekend.
00:51High pressure that keeps things settled
00:53is close by to the south.
00:55So it's the south that has the driest
00:57weather for the next few days.
00:58The north sees the most frequent showers.
01:00So for today, the showers heaviest in the north.
01:03But you will notice this morning for England and Wales,
01:05yes, greeted by sunshine.
01:07But it is a chilly start to the day,
01:08cloudy across the north with some outbreaks of rain.
01:11So as we head through the day, it's
01:12heavy showers that move through Scotland, Northern
01:15England, and Northern Ireland.
01:16The rest of England and Wales is largely fine and dry.
01:19Temperature-wise, 14 to 20, feeling chilly in the wind,
01:22but very pleasant in the sunshine.
01:24And don't be fooled by the sun because UV levels are still
01:26high.
