The Houthi rebels in Yemen have detained 11 Yemeni employees of United Nations agencies and staff from other aid groups under unclear circumstances. This crackdown comes amid increasing financial pressure on the rebels and airstrikes by a U.S.-led coalition. The UN is seeking their unconditional release, condemning the detentions as a violation of international law.
