La Rosa Vino is a cozy neighborhood wine shop in the food district of Maginhawa, Quezon City. It opened its doors in February 2023 as the brainchild of Rose Abes, who completed Level 2 of the international Wine and Spirit Education Trust certification program in 2021. Her mission was clear: to create a welcoming space where wine lovers, beginners, and enthusiasts could unwind, celebrate, and even whine over a glass of good wine.

00:15and I just want to bring quality wines to Filipinos.
00:18I came up with the idea ng La Rosa Vino during nung pandemic.
00:34So during nung pandemic, niisip ko like how to transition my business to something profitable.
00:39And then one day, I was just drinking wine and then I realized,
00:44okay, why not turn my passion and love for wine to something profitable?
00:49So I started selling wines online and then come 2023,
00:54I started my first wine shop which is La Rosa Vino.
01:00So the reason that I created a wine place like this is because first,
01:04I want to bring quality wines to every Filipinos
01:08because I believe that everyone deserves to taste and try and drink different kinds of wine
01:14because I want Filipinos to elevate their wine interests.
01:19So all of the wines that I have here at La Rosa Vino are well curated and handpicked by me
01:26and I also studied wine.
01:27So I took Wine and Spirits Education Trust.
01:31So it's an international education for wine enthusiasts and professionals.
01:35So it came to a point that I drink every day because,
01:39not because I'm alcoholic, but I just want to study wine.
01:44Here at La Rosa Vino, we're not just a wine shop, but we're also wine educators.
01:49We have staff who are also well-trained on the best wines to recommend.
01:54So for example, you're a newbie and once you enter here at La Rosa Vino,
01:59you can ask our staff,

02:07So we just want to know first the customer before we recommend a particular wine
02:12because at the end of the day, we want our customers to enjoy drinking wine

03:19So for me, every time I drink wine, it sounds poetic but it's like magic
03:28because I'm drinking wines from the vintage, let's say 2020 or 2021
03:35and appreciating the culture and also the weather of the wine na pinik during nung season na yon.
03:43So yeah, for me, it's every time I drink wine, something magical and it's a different story.
