00:00We are here with one of our honorees of the night, Kali Uchis. How do you feel tonight?
00:04I feel really good, thank you.
00:06Tell us, when you got the news that you are one of our Billboard Latin Women in Music, what were you doing? How did you react?
00:13Um, what was I doing? Honestly, I don't remember. I don't remember what I was doing.
00:19It's been a blur. This last like month and a half has been a blur.
00:22I've been pretty tired, but I was excited to just come and, you know, be honored. It's an honor, literally.
00:28And tell us, what can we expect of you this night?
00:31Of me? I'm going to do a performance. I'm going to do something stripped back, really jazzy.
00:36So it's going to be a lot of fun. Very freestyle.
00:39We are asking everyone that's, you know, talking to us tonight, who is that one woman who has impacted your career, you know, your career and also your personal life?
00:49One woman who impacted my career and my personal life?
00:55Um, probably my manager, Shakira. That's Shakira the singer. My manager's name is Shakira, yeah.
01:05Yeah, she's been managing me since I started, so I would say she's the most constant woman in my life.
01:12And, you know, you have your Spanish language album, Orquideas. How has the feedback been?
01:19It's been really good. Yeah, la verdad es que cada vez que saco algo, es como, pues uno nunca sabe lo que va a pasar.
01:25Especialmente cuando estás como experimentando tanto. It's always, you never really know. So I was shocked, but happy.
01:35It's an incredible album, you know. At Billboard, we love it. Ya para dejarte ir.
01:40We know that you are right now enjoying, you know, motherhood. You're prioritizing that.
01:44But what can we expect for the rest of the year from Calliucci?
01:47Um, you know what? I have some remixes coming from Orquideas, which is going to be really fun.
01:53I have, I'm going to start rolling out my next album, which I'm really excited for.
02:00So a little bit of both. So I'm still working, but it's a lot of fun.
