00:12 The resolution, written by the US, received 14 votes in favor at the 15-member Security

00:20 A three-phase ceasefire proposal announced by US President Joe Biden last month, which
00:27 calls for an initial six-week ceasefire and the exchange of some Israeli captives held
00:32 in Gaza for Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails.
00:37 After the vote, the Palestinian ambassador to the UN spoke.
00:41 "Now the burden is on the Israeli side to implement this resolution and to have the
00:50 ceasefire immediately in place and also to have the exchange, including the release of
00:57 Palestinian prisoners, and to make this ceasefire a permanent ceasefire."
