Self Defence Episode:4 Self-Defense Escaping the Wrist Lock

  • last month
When you catch yourself off-guard in a fight-or-flight mode, the attacker has the time to land a lethal blow. For example, let’s say you’re out and about on a walk by yourself and someone jumps in the front, uses both their hands and grabs your wrist. Your initial reaction would be to pull away from the hold by the attacker. But what if they are stronger than you? To effectively counter this situation, don’t panic, rotate your hand in the clock-wise direction so that your palm is facing you. This creates discomfort for the attacker as both of their arms are twisted. Now is your chance to escape from the hold and use the part between your thumb and your index finger to strike the attacker’s wind pipe. A perfect blow can make the attacker suffocate, giving you time to call for help or run to safety. For the full demonstration, head over to our YouTube channel @ZelusAcademy now!
