The everyday collision with adversity in this hostile environment, plagued by filthy conditions, scorching heat, often hovering over 40°C, and incessant traffic noise, as well as vile acts of mockery like the tossing of rancid bread in front of me, serving to dehumanize rather than to aid, evoking not just an immediate outcry, but a plea for prolonged and substantial relief efforts.
