DOLE: Employees who will work on June 17 entitled to a double pay

00:00Employees who will be working on June 17 or Eid al-Adha will receive double pay for their services as

00:05declared by the Department of Labor and Employment or DoLE. This was stipulated in Labor Advisory number 8 series of

00:132024 signed by DoLE Undersecretary Carmela Torres.

00:17President Fernando R. Marquez Jr. declared June 17 as a regular holiday through Proclamation

00:23579. The DoLE outlined that employees working on the regular holiday are

00:28entitled to 200% of their wage for the first eight hours of work.

00:32Those not working but reporting to work or on leave with pay on the day before the holiday will still receive

00:39100% of their wage.

00:41Overtime work on the regular holiday will be compensated with an additional 30% of the hourly rate.
