When Donald Trump hosted meetings with Republicans in Congress on Thursday, it was the first time the GOP nominee for President had been on Capitol Hill since his supporters stormed into the chambers by force on Jan. 6, 2021 to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s victory.

00:05He said, I'm doing a very good job.
00:06I mean, we're grateful for that.
00:08Look, we have to have continuity in leadership.
00:10We have to have a plan, and it has to be very carefully executed.
00:14So what's happening to our country is of great concern to the group of people standing alongside

00:21And I just wanted to say that we have great unity, we have great common sense, a lot of
00:27very smart people in this room and a lot of people that love our country.
00:30They love our country beyond just about all else.
00:34And the only thing that maybe supersedes it is their family and maybe their faith in certain

00:41And so I just want to thank the Republican Senate.
00:45And I want to thank also the House we met, as you know, with the full House Republican
00:50House today.
00:51And we had a tremendous meeting with them also.
00:55And there's great unity.
00:57Very similar, different topics, actually, but not that different.
01:01And there's one thing in common.
01:03We want to make America great again.
01:05We want to make our country great again.
01:07We're a nation that's in decline.
01:08We're a declining nation.
01:10We're a nation that is being laughed at all over the world.
