Venezuela: 136 Orinoco caimans released in Caicara channel

This action is part of a conservation plan to protect these endemic caimans that inhabit the lowlands of the Orinoco river basin, the largest in the country and one of the most abundant in the world. This is the third consecutive year in which this activity is carried out with the active participation of the community, governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as public and private companies. It is a joint initiative for the conservation of this vulnerable species.
