00:11Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the new prices will be set at 42 cents for Grade A eggs, 40 cents for Grade B eggs and 38 cents for Grade C eggs.
00:24He highlighted that the subsidy will cost the government approximately 100 million ringgit, covering up to 10 cents per egg.
00:31In a statement on Monday, Anwar emphasized that the government will continue to address cost-of-living issues proactively and effectively.
00:39He also mentioned that retail prices for eggs in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan will be adjusted according to the respective zones and districts.
