Ryan Condal, the showrunner of "House of the Dragon," has responded to feedback regarding the cinematography of Season 1, which many viewers found too dark. He assured fans that changes would be made for Season 2.

"We took that feedback seriously as we approached Season 2," Condal shared with The Hollywood Reporter. "The new season reflects my vision for the show's aesthetic, and while the changes aren't drastic, I believe the 'too dark' critique will no longer be an issue."

After previewing the first four episodes of Season 2, IndieWire noted significant improvements in lighting and color grading. Fans who voiced their concerns can rest assured that their feedback was taken into account. These adjustments should alleviate issues with dark scenes on poorly calibrated televisions and during streaming compression. Nonetheless, the modifications sometimes clash with the series' original visual style.
