00:00The New York Grimace Mets, they are nothing to trifle with at this moment.
00:08They have won six straight games, of course, since Grimace threw out the first pitch at
00:13Citi Field last Wednesday.
00:15Can they make it seven in a row once again tonight in Arlington between the Rangers and
00:22the Mets?
00:23At this moment, Texas, the reigning World Series champs who have dropped seven of their
00:27last ten, see themselves in a dead-even pick-em, minus 108 on both sides for the Mets and the
00:35Rangers.
00:36So, is it going to be seven straight for New York tonight?
00:39Oh, who do you trust?
00:42That's going to be the question.
00:43Is it going to be the Michael Lorenzen since May 1st with an ERA of 2.39, or the Michael
00:47Lorenzen with a 116 X-fit minus?
00:50And also, the lineup for the New York Mets here that's been really good over the past
00:53week and a half.
00:54If we take a look at Lorenzen, he's been very good as a right-handed pitcher against
00:57left-handed batters for the entirety of the season, which does include the past 30 days.
01:01An 018 ISO and a 148 weighted-on-base percentage, but things do change when he's facing right-handed
01:07batters.
01:08A 196 ISO, which isn't devastatingly bad, but it is above average, and a 393 weighted-on-base
01:13percentage, which is well above average.
01:16The first four guys in that lineup that I'd be looking for, batter number one, Francisco
01:20Lindor, decent ISO, decent weighted-on-base percentage against right-handed pitching,
01:24but the fact of the matter is, he will be batting from the left-hand side, so that might
01:27take him out.
01:28If the other three guys that I like here, that's going to be J.D. Martinez, Peter Lanzo,
01:31and Starley Marte.
01:32Expect to hit 3, 4, and 5 in that lineup.
01:35ISO power numbers 270, 242, and 222, respectively.
01:38I think they can get the best of them here.
01:40Sometimes you're just riding the hot hand in the Mets, certainly, or those hot batters
01:44with the three guys in that lineup, all RBI opportunities.
01:47I'm going to trust that X-fit minus number more than I do the ERA for Lorenzen.
01:52I think the Mets stay hot here.
