North Korea's activities at border 'not threatening' – South Koreans
Residents in South Korea said on Tuesday (June 18) that they don't feel threatened when North Korean soldiers cross the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) or when there are landmine explosions near the border.
Tourists and South Korean residents who were seen visiting Imjingak Pavilion near the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on Tuesday said they do not consider North Korea’s military activities or Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Pyongyang to be a security threat.
North Korean soldiers breached the MDL on Tuesday morning and briefly moved back north after warning shots were fired by the South, according to Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS). North Korean soldiers also suffered multiple casualties while working due to the explosion of landmines in DMZ, the JCS added.

00:10The residents of Yeonpyeongdo, Paju, and Jeokgyeongjeon were evacuated.
00:21I think it's a provocation, but it's a provocation in both Yeonpyeongdo and Baekryeongdo.
00:28As a resident of Jeokgyeongjeon, it's the same in Paju.
00:31So I don't think it's psychologically intimidated or that there's going to be a war tomorrow.
00:50I don't think it's a security threat to us, but I think it's enough to send a message to the political forces, including our country.
