00:44with coaching for a little while, wanted to take some time away.
00:47Then Detroit makes him an offer he can't refuse, and it lasts all of one season.
00:51I know we're not supposed to have favorites in this business, but Montee Williams is truly
00:55one of the good guys in the game and one of my personal favorites.
01:00But it's interesting when you kind of take a look and peel back the layers to this.
01:03This is a Pistons franchise that has done a lot of losing in the past few years, and
01:07they hired new basketball operations staff.
01:09So Trajan Lang has come in, and I'm assuming it was his choice and his decision, along
01:13with the ownership to say, you know what, this is a team that lost 28 games in a row
01:17last year.
01:18They didn't win many, they didn't win very many games this past year.
01:21So if we want to start rebuilding, we have to rebuild now.
01:25A lot of talent in that locker room.
01:26So I'm sure they're hoping whoever they bring in, whether or not you find it a desirable
01:32destination as a head coach, whoever they bring in, get the most out of the talent on
01:35that roster.
