Louisiana has become the first state to require that the Ten Commandments be displayed in every public school classroom under a bill signed into law by Republican Gov. Jeff Landry on Wednesday.

00:00Today we fulfill our promise to bring drastic reform to our educational system and bring
00:06common sense back to our classroom.
00:10A strong education system leads to a strong economy and a strong state.
00:17This bill mandates the display of the Ten Commandments in every classroom in public,
00:23elementary, secondary, and post-education schools in the state of Louisiana.
00:36Because if you want to respect the rule of law, you got to start from the original lawgiver,
00:41which was Moses.
