00:00Cattle are being pested by some of the corn plants in Negros Occidental.

00:05It affected more than 80 hectares of crops in Himamaylan City and some of the crops in four other towns in the province.

00:13According to the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, army worm and earworm are destroying the crops.

00:20The increase of pests is possible because of the long heat.

00:24The LGU is now instructing the control of the increase of cattle.

00:28Army worms are also being pested by the fruits of bitter gourd in a vegetable farm in Kalasaw, Pangasinan.

00:34According to some farmers, it is also difficult for the crops to bear fruit because of the heavy rainfall.

00:40That's why they are having a hard time earning a low income because of the permission of rain and hail.

00:45The size of the pest is also known.

00:48The Provincial Agricultural Office has already issued a warning to farmers to regularly spray against pests.

00:54They promised to provide assistance to the affected farmers.
