00:00The house was built in the 80s so there's a lot of steel and a lot of
00:06concrete but mum and dad built it over a period of five years. Since the 80s it's
00:11pretty much been untouched. There's not much work. These are the original couches.
00:16David itself was actually the first thing to be put into the house and
00:21because it's so heavy, what he's sitting on is a couple of ton
00:27and then him himself is also a couple of tons. So the structure, the statue was
00:31put in first and then the house was actually built around it. It was
00:36ahead of its time in terms of sustainability, being eco-friendly and
00:40they really just worked off what they had to build it. I wanted to keep dad's
00:46legacy alive in terms of being an incredible master builder and the fact
00:50that he built this home not only for himself and mum and us kids, it's
00:55something that has surpassed time, it's gone on to the grandkids, it's
00:59notable with us and it's always home. So no matter where we are in the world or
01:05Australia, we have so many memories here and I wanted to encapsulate that in the
01:10book as well as everything that he did along with his grandkids which will
01:15create beautiful memories that were surpassed time as well. I want them to
01:19remember this when they get older.
01:25you
