A total of 48 houses were damaged in two storm incidents that hit Perlis over the weekend.

In Alor Setar, Kedah, seven houses in the Kubang Pasu district were damaged during a storm early Sunday (June 23) morning.

00:28On Jalan Padang Benta, Simpang Ampat, a fallen tree incident resulted in injuries to two
00:33individuals, reportedly a husband and wife, who were rushed to Hospital Tuanku Fauzia
00:38for treatment.
00:39Meanwhile, in Alor Star, Kedah, seven houses in the Kubang Pasu district were damaged during
00:44a storm early Sunday morning.
00:47Kubang Pasu Malaysian Civil Defence Force, APM, Officer-Captain Mohamad Adenin Suhaimi
00:53reported that trees were uprooted in several areas which occurred just after 2 a.m.
00:59During the 35-minute storm, fallen trees hit several houses and blocked traffic.
01:04APM teams monitored the situation, cleared fallen trees and restored normalcy without
01:11the need to open temporary relief centres.
