Organizers said it was the biggest protest yet in what has become a weekly occurrence, highlighting the renewed divisions in Israeli society that had briefly united at the start of the war.
Israel's campaign in Gaza since October 7 has led to significant casualties and destruction. Over 37,400 people have died in Gaza, with recent focus on Rafah and Deir al-Balah.
As of 8 June 2024, 120 hostages still remain in captivity in the Gaza Strip.
